I love that guy's videos. That one where he catches a trout, fillets it and cooks it next to that stream was awesome. He virtually taught me everything about stropping and compounds when I first got into sharpening. The guy loves flashlights too and does great reviews on them.

your appreciation of Wako is with all us '''knife people'' who take the time to watch ,, i thought i knew just about everything of knife sharpening ,, have sharpened knives for over 55rys ,,, but ,, after my first Wako demo ,/ my knowledge grew more than i thought it would be ,,,Waki is approaching the skills of my grand dad , who tought me , and was magical with any blade ,, you are in good company with Wako , a class act

Stuff from Japan always seems special somehow. I love how those boxes look, you don't see stuff like that every day.

I am very glad friendship is promoted in such a way. It becomes like a kind of "Universal Knife People Brotherhood". All the best from Canary Islands, Spain.

cool man...you entered a contest to win a stone or a knife and got 4 stones. and I just want to say: I was really impressed with your free hand sharpening skills. I guess Wako thought the same. Well deserved my friend!

When you are good to others and take time to produce quality-useful videos, some people like to do nice things for you. Such acts of kindness not only make you feel great, but I'm sure made Virtu feel great that you appreciated those stones so much. Very thoughtful of him. Look forward to a complete review!

Ha! You're right about Wako's voice and speech patterns. Relaxes me too. I told my girlfriend, Wako could make a fortune as an audiobook narrator.

wow what an awesome gift. Ive been wanting the chosera 400/1000/3000 and their snow white 8000. Wako is a great man. Most people in Japan are like him. I think Japan is one of the last places on earth that the people still have high morals/manners/family values

Hi Jdavis, What do you use to level the stones with? I'm in the EU and cannot get a so-called Atoma plate. I'm a beginner and thinking about the 400, 1,000, 3,000 and 5,000 grit Naniwa Professionel (Chosera) stones. Can I go from the 5,000 to a straight razor strop? Would appreciate your advice.
