I have waited long time for a gift wrap tutorial. One of my Goto control techniques. I get it. And then with me free arm I put behind their head and wrap arm around their head almost like a guillotine choke. And push their head in the direction of their arm which is under their chin. Getting the choke.

I seen a very cool catch technique that is like the million dollar choke but done from an americana, similar to how you can feed a gift wrap from the americana grip. Like a no gi Ezekiel from americana

Nice, great stuff. Gift wrap is my go-to for getting to the rear triangle. I've been using it for a long time but never heard a name for the Sugar before. I get a lot of taps from just putting my hands together there and then pressing them back into the floor. Sometimes it's a choke, sometimes it just crushes the pec, sometimes it hurts the shoulder. It's just a nice easy sub check, if they power through or the arm isn't in the perfect spot, I'll move on to the gift wrap.

ELI!!!! I pulled off the gift wrap triangle this morning and to make it better against a blue belt. A new blue belt but a blue belt none the less. Also I got gift wrap choke. And got another stripe. This is an awesome video! I had only went for the armbar before and this video blew my mind! One thing you didn’t really address is what to do if the bottom arm is out over the shoulder - that would prevent or at least make more difficult many of the submissions here. Could you do a future video to address that? A crucifix and other combos would be great. Great video and thanks again.
