Chris Evans shows his dramatic acting chops in his latest movie, Gifted. The Captain America star took a break from being a Marvel superhero to be a super hero surrogate "dad" in this heart warming film.
Evans plays Frank Adler a single man raising a child prodigy - his spirited young niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) - in a coastal town in Florida. Frank's plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the 7-year-old's mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank's formidable mother, Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan), whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary.
Newcomer Mckenna Grace is outstanding as young Mary - and it is immediately evident that the two stars have a wonderful chemistry both on screen and off.
