Way back in the day, probably early 90's, during a Plan B/ 101/ Blind / World Industries demo tour, Steve Berra left abruptly between cities. Rumour was that he had gotten into an argument with Mike Carroll and Jovontae Turner and booked a flight that night. At the time, I felt that possibly that Carroll and Jovontae were being dicks to the guy. Now, with how Berra has proved what a walking cautionary tale he is and has been for ages, I think both of them acted accordingly. They just realized early on what an unbearable jackass he was way before most of the skate community.

The issue with skaters having other hobbies is that sometimes they evolve into finance guys, gym bros, car dudes, and because they pick up new hobbies with the same level of enthusiasm they did with skateboarding they overcompensate.
