Dear Marilyn, what gorgeous gifts from your husband. I love the rescued stained glass abstract art, it would make a marvellous depiction of the Roy de Epee or L' Empereur in an abstract art deck. A brilliant discovery by your husband. The Hess and Miller facsimile decks have hilarious facial expressions. Honestly I had to quickly re-watch L' Imperatrice section because at first glance they both looked like L' Empereur, and I thought I'd missed the cards? But no there they were, these fabulous 'Grande Dames' of the Trumps. I'm pleased you shared these Giordano Berti decks, it was my first peek at these cards, and now I'm off to search out your earlier videos of the decks. Many Thanks.

Yes! I felt the same way. It feels like I have a powerful protector. I love historic things that have stories. ~ Marilyn

We can say Marilyn, you have a local Tarot museum brewing across the grounds of USA! Thank you for sharing! Sometimes we wonder how to get a hold of a deck you feature and we love!

You know, sometimes I think I might have a little tarot museum on my hands. It feels like that at times. I've got to do a better job of cataloging them though. Especially since I've moved. I can literally spend hours trying to find a deck if it's accidentally misplaced. Every single deck has a spot, but if it's not in its particular spot, all hell breaks loose. Lol. Thank you for watching and commenting. ~ Marilyn

Hi Marilyn, your husband is really great with his choices for you. That square stained glass piece from Germany is really beautiful. Either he knows your tase really well, or has great taste himself. It is awesome! I don't know where he would have found the beautiful Quarts crystal, but I've never been to Germany. He had to have gone out of his way to get it. So cool. He is a keeper. lol

Thank you. He'll do 🥰. I'm pretty sure he went to a metaphysical store for the quartz. It was so nicely polished. ~ Marilyn

Hi, Marilyn. Thank you for sharing your beautiful gifts with us !! Your husband is very thoughtful and knows you well. Nothing better than a receiving a gift that is truly loved and heart felt. I'm amazed at how many decks you have. And your knowledge is appreciated. I really hope that one of your grandchildren will appreciate and carry on your love of tarot. You have quite a collection. How magical to have something so vast and special from a loved one. I noticed the ticking in the Sebastian video. I thought it was a metronome. It wasn't bothersome at all. I noticed it in the beginning, any time you mentioned it, and then maybe about 3 other times but it certainly wasn't distracting. I loved the blooper at the end though!! I will wait to hear the cuckoo in another video :) Question: I did notice that one deck (i think the miller) had a hand on the ace of batons. I can't really remember, as I'm not familiar with the old style pip decks, do all the aces have hands ? I know the ace of cps doesn't usually have a hand holding it. And did the hand pop up with a certain artist/style/region? Take care and thank you for your channel.💜💜

I really do hope that my grandbabies have an interest in my cards and practice. It's why I created this channel. Yes, the Miller Ace of Batons had a hand. The earliest Italian decks do not have hands, but the single suit item. I'm not in my parlor right now to check on when I first see it. It certainly was not on the Mamluk decks. I'm not sure about the Spanish decks. I'm so used to seeing a hand I take it for granted it's always there. Certainly by the time of the Noblet, 1650ish, it's there. But I don't know where they got that motif from. The Anonymous Tarot of Paris? Or another? I'm not sure if the Anonymous Tarot of Paris has the hand since I'm only assuming it does. Later, I'll check all my earliest decks to see what I can see. ~ Marilyn

another lovely video! I think I want a German deck now 😅 The first stained glass piece seems to be the Luther Rose which is a symbol of the Lutheran Church. As for the second stained glass, it really draws you in! That art style would make a really interesting tarot deck. also I didn't notice the ticking clock until you mentioned it. not a problem

Thank you for all those points! You know, inside my head I was thinking Martin Luther, but that was just the voice in my head and not because I really knew. So I'm very glad to know when in history it's from! I'm relieved to know the ticking of the clock isn't an issue. My husband would be annoyed with me if I cast the clock out of my parlor. We have chiming and cuckooing clocks all over this house lol

Some of the Major Arcana in the Miller Besançon Tarot are very curious. The Hermit looks like a kind of oriental man, Death, with a kind of beret or something that covers his head (or does he still have hair left?), The Devil with feathers on his head (it reminded me of a star from one of those Parisian venues from the 1920s)😅. The pips are very colorful! The Miller Tarot is very original and striking. Both are beauty and wonderfull decks!!! ❤

For all the reasons you mentioned, the Miller is quirky. I pointed each of those out in the video as a matter of fact. The colors are luscious. Thank you for commenting. ~ Marilyn

Thank you for saying so. It's a bit disorganized and disheveled since moving everything to get the ladder in. I haven't tidied it up. I was too excited to show my pretty gifts.
