I saw it from ground level without the drone, but wasn't sure if it's Starlink. So I had a closer look with the drone to confirm that it's indeed a Starlink satellite dish.

In some ways Giga Texas is ahead. Weather is holding up concrete operations in Germany from the looks of it. None of the floors are poured from what I am seeing.

Casting doesn't seem to have priority. But they finished the structure as much as they could. They can only close the last hole when they got that crane out.

I feel for the workers. I takes a lot more effort to get things done when it is this cold and snowy. Am I correct when looking at the weather for Grünheide, and it looks like mid to late march before concrete can be poured in unheated areas?

I'm no expert in concrete, but I can tell you that all production areas of the main building (except casting) are heated.

@@TobiasLindh Not an expert either (Electrician). My Wife says that I have a lot of opinions, and some occasional facts. And I know better than to argue with her!! I have worked sites that the temperature had to remain above 5 C for the 48 hours after concrete pouring, or it could not be done. and above 10 C is better. The heating will allow the inside concrete work to continue, but I was wondering when you start to get warmer outdoor temperatures. Of course, we will know it is warm enough when they start pouring outside! Thank you for all your work and effort. I am waiting with anticipation for the final permit.

vielen Dank für die Updates ich verfolge jedes video mit grossem Interessen. jedoch habe ich eine Frage, wo kann man sich über den stand der Baubewilligung informieren, Wäre doch gut wenn da endlich strom in die Fabrik kommen würde. Wie wird eigentlich die Bau-Beleuchtung betrieben?

Einen relativ aktuellen Überblick über den Stand des Genehmigungsverfahrens findet man hier: www.brandenburg.de/cms/detail.php/bb1.c.658136.de Für die Stromversorgung liegt sowohl eine 20kV-Leitung, als auch eine temporäre 110kV-Leitung. Wobei ich nicht weiß ob letztere schon in Betrieb ist. Die Baubeleuchtung dürfte größtenteils an der Stromversorgung der Baustelle hängen. Es gibt aber auch einige Lampen mit Generatoren.

Die Tanks sind für Regenwasser soweit ich weiß. Der Kran kommt wohl genauso dort wieder raus, wie er reingekommen ist. Als der da reingehoben wurde waren die Dachträger ja auch schon da.

@@sonarsphere That would almost certainly be considered tresspassing. Tesla has so far been very tolerant of drone activity. But they could just as easily decide to ban drones from thier properties. People doing that should be actively discouraged by the community IMO.

I've put the model of the drone in the description at a few videos, but sometimes I forget about it. I usually use a DJI Mavic 2 Zoom and a DJI Mini 2.

Mal schauen, ob die Batteriefertigung schnell realisiert wird. Ursprünglich sagte Elon die 4680er kommen zunächst aus den USA. Aber die braucht er da ja auch für sein Model S Plaid+ und den Semi Schlau wäre es den Komplex von „DriveUnit“ zu verwenden, da dieser von innen eh noch komplett leer ist - bisschen groß ist das Gebäude für die Produktion von Elektromotoren (sage ich als Leihe mal so)

Er sagte auch, dass die Neuauflage des Model S weiterhin 18650er haben wird. Ich gehe davon aus, dass das auch für das Plaid-Modell gilt. Aber so oder so sind Batterien Mangelware, von daher ist es schon wichtig schnell voran zu kommen. Es macht aber bei einem neuen Produkt auch Sinn erstmal eine Linie hochzufahren und zu optimieren, bevor man gleich weitere baut.

Das Plaid+ Model S wird aber 4680er brauchen um auf die Reichweite zu kommen 😄 - das „normale“ Plaid hat die 18650er. Die 4680er Produktionsstraße ist bestimmt komplexer, da alles neu ist. Daher sollten sie schon so früh wie möglich anfangen das zu bauen

Da werden nicht nur Motoren gebaut (mal ganz davon ab dass die Fertigung von Motoren gut Platz braucht) sondern der komplette Antrieb (was noch mal mehr Platz braucht).

Das sind Abluftschächte für die Aufzugschächte. Brandschutz und so ... die Frage ist viel eher warum man in dem Eck drei Aufzüge braucht. Plan sagt: Links Aufzug Essen, Mitte Aufzug Abfall, rechts Aufzug Personen. Essen und Abfall sind direkt an die Küche angebunden.

@@julianreverse Das kann ich beantworten. Dort ist auch direkt die Kantine. Der linke ist der Essens-Aufzug, der mittlere der Abfall-Aufzug und der rechte ist der Personen-Aufzug.

ich würde mir wünschen, wenn du die Gebäude mal kontinuierlich abfilmen würdest und nicht kreuz und quer ohne Bezug und mache Teile gar nicht zeigst. Das wäre um ein vielfaches informativer.... ansonsten alles gut...

Ich habe alles von den Gebäuden gezeigt was ich zeigen konnte, und eigentlich auch nicht besonders kreuz und quer. Ich wüsste jetzt echt nicht, was du von mir willst. Ich bin einmal übers Gebäude geflogen und habe alle Dächer gezeigt, Dann über Westen Süden und Osten einmal ums komplette Hauptgebäude. Damit habe ich in den ersten 5 Minuten schon ohne Umwege alles vom Hauptgebäude gezeigt. Der zweite Anflug ist dann nurnoch für andere Perspektiven oder Details und die Runde in den Osten. Wenn du den Norden oder den Westen sehen willst, dann muss ich dich leider enttäuschen, weil ich mich an die Luftverkehrsordnung zu halten habe, und ich daher dort nicht fliegen kann.

@@MrAdhoul The paint shop is definitely not empty anymore. The last sneak views into this building showed plenty of installed cables and pipes. And unwrapped and still wrapped production equipment all over. Tesla seems to have however just asked the drone pilots to restrain from such sneak views into the buildings in the future. And there are other parts that are already heated - like in the BiW.

Giga Berlin lately looks like a ghost construction job, not a lot of working being done. I would think those spots on the roof would be filled by now, at the end of the day it's just metal sheeting, wouldnt take very long.. Is it because of the cold weather maybe?

Might be because of the weather. They are not very far behind the roof structures though. It seems like they use only one team for roof structures right now. But they are getting very close to the very last pieces. And those outer areas aren't that important anyway, it's just offices. Except the casting section, all production areas have a roof. And I think they are all heated as well.
