It is pretty secure now. The selling contract for the land is getting prepared now and then the finance committee has to agree to that contract.

That track will be removed and some new tracks will be built a little bit further east. They will also be used for the planned rail yard to deliver materials and pick up cars. I don't have any information about the production of the refreshed Model Y.

Would be nice to have chapters or titles what we are seeing, which part of the expansion. The drawing overlays were great, but only the streets and not what they are building there. I guess the battery production or even cell production is still missing, but I am also still wondering why they do not add a model 3 assembly line or a mixed one now that the tarifs are in place. thanks , great work.

This video is about the new construction of the infrastructure in the north. The main factory already has battery and cell production. The cell production produces only parts of cells though, which get shipped to Austin for assembly (due to subsidies) As far as I know, a line for Model 3 is not planned. And I think it also doesn't make sense, because they won't need more global production volume for Model 3. What they'd need is a cheaper model. And I think that will be built here.

How is the ownership of the land being resolved for this new development, as I have been under the distinct impression that Tesla owns the land right up to the railway? P.S. Thanks for the overlays. They really help to give the viewers an excellent grasp of the scale and scope of the new infrastructure that is being built. I look forward to watching its progress right up until completion and commissioning.

I'm not sure how the land is resolved. They initially bought the land up to the rail line, but the first changes of the development plan in 2021 then included the new road in the north. With the new development plan from 2024, the road layout was optimised, so Tesla will get a little more land again. There must be some kind of land exchange for that area, but I'm not sure how that is solved. There are also talks right now to buy more land in the east, which is part of the new development plan. Maybe that will also include exchanges of land.

How much of the internal space is used? When I see all the sub parts in frames outside the factory I can't help but think that this cannot be good for the parts sitting outside and cannot not be by design. Is there still a lot to fit out inside the factory hence not enough space or bottlenecks in the production process leading to excess production and stop starts in the flow of the line?

Sie müssen sich mit dem Alu.- und Gaspreisen beschäftigen. Tesla ist da recht clever. Als ich im Werk war, hatten sie für mehr als 30 Tage Alu gelagert und da war die Produktion erst am Hochlauf ( 2021) # Die Teile werden hakt erst kurz vor dem Eibau gereinigt, dies müsste man ohnehin so machen. Tesla spart sich einen Vorgang komplett ein. Sie lagern die teile nach dem Prozess ( Formguß ) einfach draußen ohne sie weiter zu reinigen.

There is no space left inside the buildings. If the aluminum parts would have to be protected from weather, they'd build some tents for that. But it seems to be normal. They also store aluminum castings outside at the other factories. The explanation of @T.Stolpe makes sense to me.

There will be a new main production building on that empty land, which will be bigger than the first one. So it will be right in front of the new building.

Unfortunatelly they don't have a rail yard for that on the site yet. This work on the main rail line is an important step for the construction of Tesla's rail yard. The connection to Tesla will be moved further to the east where the rail yard will be built.

It is a tree farm. Like worrying about all the stalks in a corn field cut to harvest the ears. Here the wood is being used for what was intended when the trees were planted, in homes and patios and things constructed. Whole new forests have been and are being planted, maybe with more diversity.

wegen den "komischen" Bögen? ...sieht mal genauer hin. Diese "Bögen" werden als Rampen benötigt um die planfreien Kontenpunkte zu ermöglichen. Wenn man genau hinsieht, sieht man das es in diesem Abschnitt keine einzige Ampel, bzw. "Kreuzung" überhaupt hinkommt, sondern 3 Brücken (zusätzliche zu den beiden parallelen Brücken über die Autobahn). 🙂

Klar, dann ist die Anlage doppelt so groß - nutz mal Dein Gehirn und den Kalender, was da vor 5 Jahren zu sehen war ? Alter Kiefernwald und sonst nix. EV haben 40 Minuten geladen und die Akkus waren 60 kWh groß und die Fahrzeuge sogar teurer. Wetten, in 5 Jahren in 2029 werden die Verbrenner das Problemkind sein, weil die Produktionszahlen so zurückgehen, dass die Motorenproduktion extrem teuer wird, wenn die hohen Fixkosten zur Einhaltung von Emissionen die Budgets sprengen. Teil mal 1 Million auf dann nur noch 200.000 statt 400000 Motoren und schon ist in jedem Fahrzeug die Kostenseite von 2,50€ auf 5€ gestiegen. Nun nimm das mal 1000 Teile für Motor und Getriebe und Abgasstrang, dannn weist Du was da los ist. Kauf heute schon Deinen letzten Verbrenner , aber gleich mit allen Teilen, denn die Hersteller haben alle Plöne in der Schublade, Deinem Verbrenner den Dolchstoß zu versetzen und das über die Ersatzteilpreise, die binnen Kürze verdoppelt werden. Gibt ja Firmen, die jeden Hersteller darüber beraten, was die Wettbewerbs Ersatzteile kosten und wo man ungeschoren noch die Preise anheben kann , ohne teurer als Renault zu werden. Also, stell Dich schon mal bei VW an, denn da werden doch die Fabriken geschlossen, oder hast Du da was verpennt in den Nachrichten ? So blöd muss man mal sein, seine alten Verbrenner mit 5 Liter Diesel zu bewegen, was ja 50 kWh Energie sind. Die Elektrowanze braucht dafür 15 kWh, also bläst Du 35 kWh Abfallwärme aus dem Mmotor in die Umwelt, kein Wunder also, wenn der Sprit jedes Jahr 10 Cent stärker mit CO2 besteuert werden soll, weil Du dann Deine Umweltschäden mitbezahlen kannst, damit Deine Kinder das dann reparieren dürfen, was Du versaut hast. Oder warst Du acuh einer derer, die den Rhein als Abfallkippe missbrauchten, bis kein Schwimm mehr drin schwamm, als sei das normal. Aufwachen, oder Dein Grab schaufeln, wenn Du weiterhin 35 kWh aus dem Fenster wirfst , wo Du mit 15 kWh vorwärts kämst und das mit höherer Beschleunigung als im Diesel.
