I am assuming that customers would want the new model instead of old MY. Can someone help me understand why there are three locations for MY pickup? Thank you.

(1) No, they are still producing old Model Ys. There were reports of the first updated Model Y having been assembled in Berlin, but that is very much prototype production before the bulk of the lines get switched over. (2) You can't even order an updated Model Y in regions supplied by the Berlin Factory. (3) Space. The oldest still existing lot is limited by only having one loading spot for three sets of cars. The second area near the train stop has been used as overflow. The newest loading area has a loading spot for every set of cars, but only the northern half of the area is finished, while the work on the southern half seems to not have progressed in the past couple of months.

Everyone looks for Model Y Juniper. With the given resolution of this video, the only way to distinguish from pre-Juniper is the shape of the headlights. I did not find a single one.

Wish they started construction already on the new factory to continue their growth, The new Semi factory and the megapack factory in China will make sure that they will grow this year and offcource production expansion in Austin, Fremont and the existing Berlin factory but there are not other big contructions going on, not in Mexico or another new location annouced. Berlin will be the next big expansion for production capacity.

I am assuming that Elon and the executive team are watching the election in Germany and watching how the economy and EV credits take shape in EU. Tesla, IMO, is not as focused on EV car sales as they were before. Tesla is a an AI/Robotics company now and will have better revenue/margins with sale of FSD SW, Optimus and Robocab,

@@airrodgers1242 Tesla Q4 : Produced 459.445 Delivered : 495.570 cars so not really. Tesla can sell every car that they can produce and delivery, some quarters delivery is the problem due to line upgrades, slower production due to changes in the car etc and sometimes delivery is the problem because there are not enough ships availible to get the cars to europe or other countries that wants them. Expanding in the EU will solve both the production and the distribution problem. Also, before the factory is ready and producing it will be 2027 so they have 2 years to expand into new markets, innovate to reduces prices etc to increase marketshare.

Unfortunately there is going to really be pain in Germany over the next several years. What with VW having to cut 30,000 jobs and 219 billion euro in debt and they are only the vanguard of change.

@@airrodgers1242 That has a lot to do with the fact they've been been slow to introduce new models, the Y and 3 are getting old now, sure the Y is getting a refresh to make it noticeable different, but it's still just polishing what I think is an ugly car, the 3's refresh to the general public is invisible.

Ach, kein Problem, nun wird erst die Infrastruktur fertig, bevor im Herbst entschieden wird, ob Phase 2 gebaut wird. Die Treppenhäuser sind schön geworden. Wäre interessant zu wiesen, ob die Zellenfertigung ( 4680) schon im Hochlauf ist.
