God, liver kicks SUCK SO BAD!! They just take everything out of you. They take your legs out from under you and your ability to breathe and hurt like hell to boot. Anyone that has ever caught a clean liver kick knows EXACTLY what I mean and feels a little flashback of it every time they see a really good one landed. I felt Cub’s pain when that one was landed. Props to Giga! That was a beautiful perfectly placed kick! Look forward to seeing his career go on from here.

I've never been kicked in the liver. But when my friends and I are messing around with the gloves on and I get punched in the liver area and im not flexing to soften the blow it hurts almost as bad as getting hit in balls.

@@whodoyouvoodo3987 yeah, liver punches definitely can be pretty damn bad. Now take that and multiply it to account for the mass and power of the leg versus the arm and then add to that the hardness of a good kickboxer’s shin versus the softness of a glove. Personally I haven’t competed for years now as age and injuries caught up with me, but from decades of shin conditioning the hair has only in the past year or so started to grow out on my shins again. For a large portion of my life my shins looked rather like I had suffered severe burns on them because as you are conditioning then to calcify and make the bones denser the same thing happens to the skin and it get kind of slick and waxy looking. It’s really NO exaggeration when they say that a good shin kick is like being hit by a baseball bat.

Cub, Why not give up after the liver kick? Donot need your pride, save your body from getting more injury. If you are pro fighter, don't you know that you cannot continue fight after liver shot?
