The best B650M motherboard on the marked imho. Good looking, good VRM cooling, good space between the first and second PCIe lane and lastly its packed with USB 3 ports on the IO.

6 layer pcb is perfectly fine. I understand its frustrating being a poor rusky and not be able to afford a proper board. This is the best B650M board out there right now.

Could you explain the 12+2+2, 16+2+2 etc stats? I understand they are the power distribution components, but do those numbers reflect board quality (if not overclocking)?

you can take any starting from b650. the whole generation turned out good

the more power phases you have, the better. it splits up power into tinier packages, which creates less heat. having more also allows you to use higher watt cpus, so power phases are definitely something to keep in mind if you're going to be overclocking or using a higher end cpu (think 7950x). anything with 8 or more power phases should be able to run any amd cpu out currently. some particularly shitty boards with only 5 or 6 power phases will throttle higher end cpus and not allow you to get their advertised performance

I'm getting this mobo and I have to ask, should I put my OS drive (samsung 980 pro) on top m.2 slot and game drive (adata legend 960 max) on the bottom, or it doesn't matter where I put them? Thanks!

Too expensive in my opinion. Might as well spend a bit more and get the X series board instead. Now if the price was £100 cheaper it would be something to consider but at that price it is a no from me.

But then you have to go full ATX with a X board. And the price is not bad at all for what you get on this board compared to what asus, msi and ASRock offers on their B650M lineup, which is quite bad imho, especially Asus Prime line with horrendous prices for what they offer.

@@daviniarobbins9298 the vast majority of budget b650m boards are shit. like sure they work in the low end but you'll run into difficulty upgrading parts further down the line. like a motherboard with only 5 power phases will struggle to properly power a higher end cpu

Piece of JuNk just got mine and unable to boot up due to BIOS update try flash the bios as instructed try every version of BIOS still not working now tell me my Ram speed of 6000 hz is too high get lower one wtf switch to MSI boot up right away no issue

Hello i have this motherboard and Corsair 32GB KIT DDR5 6200MHz CL36 Dominator Platinum RGB White ram but pc wont start with other ddr5 rams it works do you know whats wrong with it?

corsair dominator platinum is tuned for intel cpus and motherboards. you can probably get it working on amd parts but it's a pain in the ass. next time make sure not to buy ram labelled intel or xmp
