does the top m.2 slot share the same lane as the top pcie slot? which would then decrease performance of a graphics card by splitting the lane?

A late reply, but no - The manual's block diagram shows them as running on their own separate lanes.

I love their boards, but not sure I will buy another just because their software is so bad. I have never been able to get Gigabyte Control Center to work on my current system. Seems to be a common problem.
