Gigantomachia actually appeared way back just after Stain's arrest, and more recently during Kirishima's flashback. In that flashback, he was looking for the Springer Hero Agency, and one of All For One's quirks in his battle with All Might was Spring-Like Limbs. So we can imagine he found the Agency after all.

19:00 Aizawa's comment to Uraraka is one of my favorite moments in the whole show. He doesn't make the choice for her, but he does say that she needs to make the choice about being a hero, since this kind of thing WILL happen again.
@Salocinist6 ай бұрын
was about to make this comment. He's such a good mentor. It's like "Yes, be sad, but now that you've seen The Job for yourself you need to _actually_ think if you want this to be your life"
@jittercritter5 ай бұрын
(Spoilers) Considering Aizawa’s backstory, this scene is an underrated gem. If you’ve read Vigilantes, you know that Aizawa actually wasn’t very promising in school-he didn’t get better until one of his best friends died in front of him, after which he pushed himself to the limits for YEARS (the Vigilantes manga also seems to imply this constant overworking, which stems from his survivor’s guilt of that incident, is why his sleep schedule is so messed up even to this day) So yeah, Uraraka saying that she feels like she didn’t do enough, and him basically replying that that feeling will never go away, is really huge. He warns her because he knows exactly how it feels, and wants her to be prepared, but he also doesn’t want to discourage her. Honestly one of the most powerful things about Aizawa’s character is that he continues to take responsibility for the lives of teenagers, a notoriously reckless age group, despite the fact that he has major trauma centered around not being able to save someone in the past. Like… what an absolute angel, and what bravery too. Which of course perfectly parallels Uraraka’s choices; she now has to deal with this burden of inadequacy/an inability to save someone in the past, and she continues to strive to be a Rescue Hero, a hero specifically dedicated to saving people above all else. That takes some serious mental strength, and it makes this moment really stand out as a major turning point for her character. Super under appreciated moment. (Also side tangent, things like this are why it always frustrates me when people claim that Uraraka’s character has been boiled down to just being a love interest. There IS still a LOT to her character arc and personality, people just don’t seem to see it which is sad, especially when they then turn around and complain about the fact that there isn’t enough depth to her. Like yes there definitely is, you’re just not seeing it!)

Especially since Toga was smart enough to make an "I feel sick" excuse and then duck out early, that probably made everyone go "oh, so that's it" and stop thinking about it while removing herself from the situation where she'd really have to socialize with everyone without so many excuses and risk being found out.

Even in a world where super powers exist, someone acting a LITTLE off during a super high stress school exam wouldn't instantly make you think "Oh she must be a SHAPESHIFTER!" If she actually talked to the other students from Camie's school that'd be one thing, but she specifically avoided people that would know Camie. A few brief minutes before the test started wouldn't be near enough time to figure out Camie is actually a totally different person.

I agree that Eri might be the defining factor in the win against Overhaul that changed Nighteye's Foresight, but I don't believe she powered One For All up - she just created circumstances where Deku could go full on 100% for a continuous period of time. 100% Deku didn't appear to have any problem dealing with Overhaul's final form, it just needed multiple hits - something he probably couldn't have done without Eri, unless he broke 1 limb at a time.

Eri allowed Deku to use his FULL power without consequence. He was breaking himself as fast as she was healing him, resulting in a net zero consequence. Because of how One for All works, Deku is by necessity at 100% more powerful than All Might was at 100%. His 100% is necessarily bigger. Since it's Deku, I wouldn't be surprised if he considers All Might's peak to be 100%, so him feeling STRONGER than All Might to him would mean going beyond 100%, when in reality it's just because he's stronger than All Might because of how his quirk works. In practice in that scene, he was NOT stronger than All Might overall, because Deku doesn't have any experience actually USING 100%, so in terms of just how hard he can hit, he's better, but All Might has MASTERED the power inside and out, so comparing the two, All Might would still be more powerful overall.

I feel it was Mirio myself who changed the future. He gave Eri a spark of hope that became a flame when she realized Deku like Mirio would die fighting for her. That flame let Deku avert his fate because she stood with him rather than begging him to let her go. If Mirio had backed down or been broken by losing his quirk the future Night Eye originally saw would have taken place. Since he didn't the future changed. So in a way Night Eye was right it was the thought of a better future passed from Mirio to Eri that allowed Deku to change his fate.

@Kaempfdog6 ай бұрын
Well we’re finally starting to transition into the next arc of the show! Long time coming after such a giant raid. This intro is really cute and the music is great, but yeah the last 3 easily win over it. I just wanted to talk about the final shot with all the kids with instruments. Horikoshi LOVES having his chapters have large pictures of the kids doing whatever comes to mind. From constructing huge All-Might mechs, to the ones in season 2 of their fantasy themed adventures, and they are just so cool to look at. But they ABSOLUTELY all have the same vibe as this closing shot from the intro. They’re all really cute. We finally get caught up on what Gran Torino and even what Kurogiri has been doing. Shigaraki said Kurogiri was on an assignment Overhaul couldn’t remove him from. And Gran Torino couldn’t join the Overhaul raid to go after league members. And since Toga, Twice, Shigaraki, Dabi, and Spinner are all accounted for waltzing around, that left Kurogiri who he was after. I’ll again state that Gran Torino is bar none among the strongest heroes in the show. Easily having feats near and possibly on par with Endeavor. And they ask him to go after Kurogiri because he’s in the top 3 fastest heroes. And one of them is All-Might. I LOVE the western style music that always accompanies him kicking but like a true master. All to pave the way for one of AFO’s top soldiers. In chess, this guy is DEFINITELY the rook. He says the exact same thing as the building sized villain asking Mina where a hero agency is that Kirishima froze before. Seems he’s had a growth spurt. He seems perfectly fine and the police were unaware of his existence. So he must have found that agency, and if there’s no witnesses outside the scene Mina and Kirishima are at, that agency likely has no one else in it anymore and I wouldn’t be surprised if the agency was just NOT THERE anymore. Because this guy forced Gran Torino to RUN and he blew up a freaking MOUNTAIN. They GOT Kurogiri but looking at the sheer AMOUNT of collateral and I can easily say Machia isn’t on par with the heroes. He’s ABOVE them. And ONLY All-Might could CONCEIVABLY go against him when he was healthy. Deku can’t be near Eri still but has an AMAZING conversation with Mirio instead. Mirio is forcing down all his tremendous amount of pain as he tries to smile through the loss of Nighteye. And Deku makes an INCREDIBLE decision. Even though he ultimately overcame all of Nighteye’s concerns and truly changed the future, even though he was the one who truly toppled Overhaul, he takes the term ONE for all a bit too literally as he felt like he didn’t stand as OFA. (Even though he did) And he gives up the ghost. Mirio PRETENDS not to believe him from my perspective because he entertains WAY too much of what Deku said. And he dropped way too many hints. Deku said All-Might’s future was grim, he said if YOU were the successor things could be different, and then he OFFERS OFA. Everything Mirio saw in the office when Nighteye accepted Deku into the agency and this conversation is there AND All-Might himself asked Mirio to introduce him to Nighteye. It is inconceivable 1 of UA’s valedictorians doesn’t realize Deku is genuinely All-Might’s successor. But he declines to be his own symbol holding out hope of the possibility of returning his quirk one day with Eri’s help. (I genuinely think he played dumb to respect both Deku and All-Might) The symbol that Nighteye saw, the finest hero he predicted, Mirio WANTS this future and doesn’t want it by taking away Deku’s. And I DO think Nighteye did in fact see Mirio’s future and he chose to secure Mirio’s life for the better rather than All-Might or Deku who have much more turbulent lives. (Granted if he DOES use rewind, then it’s just up to Mirio to pursue the future anyhow.) All-Might even got to hear this occur. Deku DOES finally get a bit more proper consoling from the rest of the class. They got news coverage but I guarantee things like Deku fighting in the sky while definitely more likely to have witnesses was not something broadcasted. You could feel the tremors of the fight like it was right next to you so there’s no guarantee anyone picked up where it came from. Nejire and Nighteye are the only 2 known witnesses. Now that I’m thinking about it, I genuinely don’t know what they WOULD have broadcasted. I’m sure Eri wasn’t talked about, or the deleters, and the prime focus fell on Shigaraki torturing Overhaul and killing Snatch. But Jiro correctly calls that although these 4 are physically well, they are mentally and emotionally exhausted. And everyone may have seen even the slightest flickers of what was happening. Iida immediately goes to protect them from more noisy confrontations and forcing help on them. Iida knew Deku was in the worst shape of the 4 and wasn’t going to let anyone force him to endure more. But Deku says well I can do that. And Iida just starts shaking him wildly and I’m sure Iida if he had known even a HINT of their location would have pulled a Stain stunt that Deku and Todoroki pulled to save him. (Also Sato I don’t physically think anyone can literally fit an ENTIRE cake in their mouth at once but it’s hilarious to watch him force feed Deku.) Uraraka vows to save people because she feels she simply didn’t do enough or even RESPONSIBLE she drove the lifeforce breather right in front of Overhaul to use as a kaiju to attack Deku. (And she DID get to witness at least Deku using infinite 100% AFTER he battled Overhaul. So she saw what he put himself through) All of these kids are traumatized by this obviously and to go back to school has to be even CRAZIER to them. Present Mic and All-Might taking Bakugo and Todoroki to their provisional license classes! (Mic poke him more! I hear it’s super relaxing!) We finally meet the real Camie who looks…somehow entirely unharmed after Toga took a LOT of blood from her. And my boy Inasa is back! Cheering…Camie’s social skills for asking out Todoroki. God I love him. Mera is back, Gang Orca is back, and we have a chat between Endeavor and All-Might on the horizon. And last notes from the credits. Few pictures to note. The Nighteye agency gave Deku the All-Might poster he wanted from his office. (I don’t think they immediately got rid of all the memorabilia but Bubble Girl wanted to give Deku something for his contributions) Mirio looked fine and hopeful but he’s crying himself to sleep in the 4x4 pictures. And you can see interesting pictures like All-Might at UA, Toga in high school, and a variety of other pictures that won’t make sense for a LONG time. Great episode. And I can’t wait for this mini arc.

I believed that Night Eye could predict both Eri's power and OFA going 100%, it was Deku's conviction to never give up and to keep trying that changed the future. Watching that episode again, made me notice there is a lot of emphasis on the similarities and differences between Mirio's and Deku's convictions and aspirations to be a Hero, Mirio being a stand-in for someone like All Might and how even with how great he is Night eye's future wouldn't change. The moment when fate changed was when Eri influenced by Mirio and believing in Deku took Deku's hand. Deku was able to give Eri the final push/final piece of Hope she needed, thus changing fate and allowing Deku to use 100%. It can be argued that Mirio also did this, but in the episodes, Eri was still set on sacrificing herself instead of fully believing in Mirio, it isn't till near the end that she makes a decision on her own to go to Deku. "SPOILER WARNING" (I Think) I also don't believe that Night couldn't predict Eri's power, because well at the end of that episode, when he died he basically did

But more importantly, there’s one shot showing the reactions of most of the students to the events of the last arc… everyone is restless or thoughtful or just sleeping. Except Mirio. The whole "Eri rewind the things her power has rewound already (aka the bullet effects)" has always been stupid to me. Her power only works in one direction. That is the entire point. Being able to rewind you (which is what makes you lose your quirk), and then undo said rewind with the same power is stupid. By all possible logic, using her power should rewind Mirio even further, not cancel out the effects of the first time it was used.

It makes sense to me. Her power normally (bear in mind I've not seen past this point so if I'm contradicted later no spoilers please) rewinds a person's timeline. That is they go back to yesterday then last year then to the time they weren't born. The bullets are a scientifically derived chemical to select one specific part of a person, the quirk genes and erase them or restore them. Note the blue bullets mentioned that undoes that effect. Like snake venom is countered by anti-venom made from said venom. It's not just not the full quirk but one deliberately modified to be counteracted. Eris power acting on a person affected by it however is rewinding the person's timeline to a point before they were shot. She's not even acting on the modified body in the same way as the blue serum body she's taking you back to before the snake bit you. That is red bullet resets your genome to no quirk, blue undoes the effects of red, Eri says you were never shot at all.

It also doesnt actually matter who changed it to Nighteye. It just matters that it can change and theoretically there are many curcumstances that could invalidate his quirk and he didnt cuase Allmights death by observing it.

He didn't CREATE Machia like he made the Nomu, but as Kurogiri said, he CULTIVATED him. That basically means he personally grew him into what he is, he shaped him. It's really not a spoiler, All for One shoved specific quirks into Machia to make him a super weapon, it's not exactly a secret. Now what exactly he added to Machia? THAT's more spoiler territory.

I want to tell you my theory about why the future changed but it requires spoilers so until they reach the end of season 5 I can’t talk about it. But it definitely has to do with one for all

Maybe it was just because he was able to use 1 for all at full power why the future changed compared to if he was limited

Idk if you've seen my messages or if you're already aware of it, or even if it's something you even thought about yourself cause you watched the movie, but the 2nd movie spoils some stuff from the first arc of season 5, so it's best set between episodes 12 and 13 of season 5 cause Movie 2 + s5 arc 1 spoilers below Movie shows Tokoyami flying, states Deku has multiple quirks within him, which is why Nine can't take them all, and ir makes way more sense for Bakugou and Todoroki to also be sent to the island after they get their provisional license

I’m so glad they found an excuse to shoehorn Present Mic into this arc lmao. Like he absolutely isn’t necessary for the arc to just happen, but he ALSO absolutely improves the quality of it by 100%. This little mini arc would be miserable without him, I’m so happy they managed to stick him in there Also Mic antagonizing Bakugou is so funny when you remember from the Sports Fest that he isn’t very fond of him 💀 is this his way of getting petty revenge on him for beating Uraraka? You’re beefing with a teenager, Mic

Here's the thing though, It couldn't have been Eri, that changed the future, all she did was allow Deku to use his power at 100%, essentially the same as All-might. And if All-might's power wasn't enough to change the future, then it has to be Deku. Only Deku with 100% of OFA can shape the future. And this is why I really don't like Night-eye, even with his dying breath, he still couldn't acknowledge Deku as the rightful heir to OFA.

Eri changed the past tho with her quirk to heal Deku, how many times has changing the past affected the future in media? I feel like Eri messing with time through rewind altered the future
@youngexile6 ай бұрын
@@LettsReact From what I've seen, she doesn't change the past. her power is strictly individual, so she changes someone's biological development, like her father being rewound to before a single cell. She didn't change her father's past or she wouldn't exist and people remembered her father. In Deku's case, it was the development of fractures and torn ligaments, etc. allowing him to use 100% of his power free of danger. Side note: LOVE your videos BTW

I'm pretty sure the eye poke thing was just an animation error. Eyes and mouths are added onto the faces on a seperate layer to make them easier to animate blinking and talking atop a still image. So someone probably forgot to add the eye behind Kirishima's hair.
@Arizona-ex5yt6 ай бұрын
I think it's an intentional visual gag. It might be in the manga but I'm too lazy to check.
@johndinner44186 ай бұрын
Yeah I thought the joke was that kirishima's hair is so spikey that it poked the guy. It's a bit jarring that it stays for some extra time and then immediately leaves, so it may be a little of both a joke and animation error.
@LamirLakantry6 ай бұрын
@@Arizona-ex5yt I went and checked the manga and couldn't find this scene, so unless they changed the order of events around, I don't think it's in the manga.

I was so angry at Night Eye's death because to me it was completely avoidable. Izuku knew what Eri's quirk was due to Chizuki telling him during their fight and he could have told the others. Any real hero would have taken the risk to get Night Eye close enough for long enough even if was Ochaku using her zero gravity on him and having someone strong push him past Eri so that he doesn't completely rewind. But that's just how I felt while watching. I was also annoyed at the multiple flashbacks of Night Eye dieing.
@relic57526 ай бұрын
Deku couldn't move after finishing off Chisaki. He's literally doubled over in pain AND doesn't know that Nighteye was topside. What you call avoidable is only due to hindsight that's impossible to have in the moment.
@arielmartinez946 ай бұрын
On top of that, Deku was able to endure it that long cause he kept breaking himself even im that moment, if either Mirio or Nighteye would've been brought close enough, here was big chances for them to dissapear completely
@austin-19935 ай бұрын
@@relic5752you say I think that due to hindsight but those were my thoughts as Eri's power was going wildly out of control.

@@austin-1993 First of all, that's the most irrelevant point of my post since the point still stands that the *moment* Deku defeats Overhaul, he keeled over in pain, he's not getting Eri to anyone. Second, it *IS* hindsight since you, as an audience member, are privy to the numerous, simultaneously occurring events that the characters aren't, such as: Nighteye being carried top side, the mechanics of Eri's powers (only Deku knew at the moment, which, again *doubled over in pain* ), how dangerous Eri's quirk is, etc. Third, Ariel Martinez's point still stands, with Eri's quirk hitting a critical meltdown that she has no control over, anyone who gets too close is liable to be rewound to non-existence.
