What is the purpose of the basestation and why should I register my phone? Thanks.

Register just means to connect the phone to a base station, however, I would recommend the proline VoIP phones only for technically inclined people who plan to use this in a business environment, they are more difficult to configure.

@@jasonwells1946 Without the base station how would the phone work... It has to connect to something ...ie your mobile phone connects to a phone mast in order for it to work...it doesn't connect directly to the other mobile phone.... This is no different. the phone connects to the base station in order to connect to the network.
