As a book reader, I love to see underrated authors get their work out there. Most of the time, it's the books that have fewer ratings that have the best story.

Exactly! Not every talented writers have a team behind them to help publish their books. Some gems are really really hard to find tho, but luckily not impossible with the internet.

I like how everyone is ignoring the fact that it's worded like a serial killers manifesto. Who writes about women getting brutally murdered and thrown out with a calling card? a real killer does. And secondly to back my point. WHO THE HELL DOES IT FOR 14 YEARS STRAIGHT. There is movies about serial killer thriller writers going crazy and having killed before. lmao.

His book is about killing people and leaving calling cards and it reads like some sick fantasy. I don't know why or how people can accept this book, it doesn't even read like fiction.

@@FunSkipping You’re entitled to your opinion. I haven’t read the book, so I don’t have anything to contest you with, anyway. That said... I checked some of the other replies here. I think you need to take a minute to rebalance your head space and heart space. Grab a snack and a nap, talk to someone who knows you and cares for you. It will do you a world of good, versus trying to argue with people in the comments of a Pegasus video.

Annual Audible subscriber so with 4 credits left I thought I'd use the credit I'd put aside for Feb on this one (my membership renews each June). Downloading it now as it's among my favourite genres. I agree about not just giving someone money if they've written a pile of trash but I don't believe this is the case here. Cheers for mentioning it and your objective take on the Dhar Mann scandal. I'm not sure how to feel about him as he's been in a bit of trouble before for providing sub-standard housing and actually defrauding the city of Oakland! But I think you were right to take the balanced view that you did. They REQUESTED his presence, but didn't say they wouldn't turn up if he wasn't there. So that's dishonest of them. I guess when you take up a gig where you're an independent contractor, you know you may have to find other sources of employment to keep a roof over your head, food in your stomach and the bills paid, etc. You have a new subscriber, sir. And also someone who doesn't exactly care about what most people care (or pretend to care) about. If something doesn't affect me, I don't lose any sleep over it. I'm cynical of the true nature of most human beings as to their true motives for doing "good", but I do live in Wales so...
