Very impressive! As for the gig performer list of songs on the left, is it possible to click on them and set each one to a Midi foot switch bank? Or some thing else that is just as easy. Fingers crossed!

That's basic functionality - lots of ways to select depending on what you need. They respond to explicit program change numbers, you can define MIDI messages that would be interpreted as "Next song", "Previous Song". If you're using a MIDI pedal controller, then you might use two buttons to select next or previous song and then other buttons to trigger different song parts. Too many possibilities to describe here - please review the online documentation for more details

Suggestion: make your setlist avaliable (via OSC ?) for the bandleader on iPad/android with the restriction that he cant Change your sound, but just mark the next song he wants you to perform so you just "hit your button" to engage it...

You can do that already!

what spec windows laptop could i get to use gig performer?

GP itself doesn't need that much - it's really a question of what plugins you want to use, how CPU intensive they are and/or how much RAM they need and how many you want to run simultaneously.

30 odd years of gigging and never used a setlist :)
