That's going too far. Giggs was a top player, but he was actually at his best when he was young and had crazy pace. He was so dangerous then. He quickly lost that half yard of pace though and then was normally one of the best players on the pitch but rarely standout. As Keane once said, a great career and a great player are not the same things. I could probably concede Giggs was a great player but depending on how you define the word great

People tend to forget just how tough a road it was to the Treble; in the FA Cup we played and defeated all of our rivals at the top of the PL - Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea and Keegan's Newcastle team spearheaded by Shearer. The Final against them was one of the easiest games as it happens. And of course in the European Champion's League we had to get past Barcelona, Inter, Juventus and also Bayern Munich in the group stage as well as the Final. In fact Brøndby in the group stage were the only inferior team United met en route to the Final. So much for the constant ABU whining that United always get easy draws in Europe!

Who else is watching this after watching Prime's 99? I forgot how incredibly close this game was. I remember Bergkamp missed a penalty but forgot it was in the 91st minute; I completely forgot Roy Keane's sending off and that they were down to 10 men; I remember that Man U went on to win the FA Cup but I forgot that it was the Treble year. When you put all those factors into the mix, this becomes one of the most incredible and significant FA Cup semi-finals in history.

This was one of the ultimate games, not just in Utd's ultimate season but in any season. The overall quality, the goals, the rivalry, the game's significance at the time and also in what was to come, how it played out... absolutely unbelievable. Giggs' goal was one of the all-time greats for its skill level, timing and importance but Beckham's was actually pretty special, too; about twenty five yards out, hit first time past a great 'keeper and curled into the side netting.

These were incredible times. I believe that Arsenal team just conceded 4 goals at home in that year's league. These 2 teams were probably the two best in Europe that year and their tussles were mighty. After going down to 10 men I thought we were done, with the penalty I was close to certain we were finished. It was. I was lucky enough to be in the Holte End where Giggs scored. The game had everything. I am a Tottenham Fan but you have to say there is no better team that these generation of players. We talk about Man City and Liverpool now, Arsenal team that went all season without losing. Even the great Barcelona and Inter winning the Treble. As all football Fans know to win the League in England is hard, then to also in the F.A Cup and Champions League is incredible. The importance of this goal was immense! Coupled with Schmeichel's amazing last minute penalty save before this, it was an amazing finale! And Giggs did this against an Arsenal defence that was the pillar of that team! Ran through all the best Arsenal defenders and blast through Seaman! It was simply spectacular
