The only thing that is worse is when the food suddenly gets worse. You think they just had a bad day so you go back again but it's still shit. Then you find out the owner has changed and it's actually no longer your favorite store, just some monstrosity wearing the skin of your favorite store while defiling its memory with crappy imitation products.

@shinigamimiroku3723Ай бұрын
@SNixD This happened to me about 4 years ago. New owner came in, new cooks replaced the old ones, and even the menu started to change. In the end, it was all vegan nonsense and no one ate there; they finally closed earlier this year.
@SNixDАй бұрын
@@shinigamimiroku3723 It sucks so bad! I've experienced it three times. Favorite calzone, favorite takeout kebab and favorite takeout curry, all taken over and ruined. The largest and tastiest calzone, that I never managed to finish in one sitting, is long gone. I just realized it's been ~25 years since it disappeared. There's still a pizza joint with the same name and color scheme in that location and just seeing it on street view is making me crave it again. Some wounds never truly heal it seems.

There used to be a little Japanese cafe down in the historic district, opened up about 10 years ago. The lady that owned it moved here from Japan with her American husband, and they started the restaurant because she was homesick. My friend and i used to have this one Korean bbq place that we went to all the time ever since middle school. The selection was great and it was so affordable that even kids could get a meal with their allowance. Sadly they had to shut down after the pamdemic, especially tragic since all me and my friend have been doing during the lockdown was talk abt how much we wanted to go back there. When my friend found out he literally went into a hysteric fit, like finding out about the death of a loved one. Even now when we can afford to go to higher end places he still talks about that place.

A small family business closing is sometimes quite literally, the dream from its owner dying. Be it a bakery dismantling their masonry oven, a clocksmith laying down their magnifying loupe, or an orchard leveling their crops. It's like witnessing a new page in history turned over. Especially when you get to visit the place both before and after. Fortunately, the fire of passion propagates through sparks of inspiration. As long as craftsmanship still exists, the cycle will not cease.

I know that feeling. There is this Chinese food place in Asia that I used to go buy food at for lunch every so often before I moved abroad. Well it's been like 20 years since I've been to that country and it closed down I think in 2015? Then again it's a franchise so there might be some restaurants out there in the wild, but I won't know if it's the same taste since sometimes franchises don't taste the same cause even if the ingredients and how it made is the same, people can fuck up the cooking process.

I still cant really understand why she is graduating like this.. After the other members have reassured us that holo management isnt rotten behind the scenes, that together with the fact that she herself said that shes not leaving because she doesnt want to be an idol ..... just doesnt make sense for me. If the problem was her own personal manager, couldn't she just have changed managers? Ofc we dont have all the info, but I just dont understand how anything in the scope of what this could be would be worth throwing your dream job and daily close relationships with friends in the trash over. :( Its her decision still and i support it in the end of the day, but it just leaves a bad feeling in my mouth that shes saying "im not leaving bc i dont wanna be here, i dont want to leave but i will because the problem is too much" and then other members are like "chill guys we dont have big new problems here dont worry we are fine", its like ??????
