Hi N2RA - loved listening to this. 2 great young female vocalists. Lucy was 18 when she released this. I really do enjoy Gigi's voice - it is beautiful but Lucy's version of this song is just breathtaking and to me kind of stands apart - talk about easy & elegant power - Insane. She just turned 20 and is now setting the standard. I really do hope you will check out her recent live performances - Hallelujah was the most recent release - more to follow soon. Thx!

The Philippines arguably has the best female belters and certainly can compete against the rest of the world's best. Gigi is one of them but her out of this world versatility sets her apart from the rest of them. This is just one side of Gigi and she can absolutely do more than you could've imagine than any other singer in the world perhaps. Cover after cover, genre after genre Gigi's covers are killers and unmatched and Lucy simply pales in comparison overall.

It's funny how some people comment that the louder someone sings the better they appear to like it. The problem with that is the louder someone gets the closer they get to shouting and of course this lessens the quality and purity of the notes. It's all about striking the correct balance, which Lucy seems to have achieved at a very young age.

She's in a league of her own , that's what Gigi is who has more sides than any other singer there is today is who can sing absolutely anything like crazy with her chameleon voice and versatility that Lucy could never have. Gigi has the best cover version of this song and Lucy can't do anything to change it.Gigi's version was breathtaking like how long she can hold on the highest of notes in style that I don't see with Lucy's version. De Lana is the most versatile singer there is today who shifts to different genres seamlessly and convincingly. A chameleon beyond compare. Lucy sings different songs but it's still the same voice. Gigi is like a different singer everytime not knowing what to expect cover after cover. Such a bad ass who can absolutely rock, belt, rap, and even scath. And she's prettier than Lucy of course.

LOL music is God's gift of creative expression to Humanity, it is what separated us from the beasts in the fields! It's a personal preference of ones own ears, LOL and yes personal prejudges of the person creating the video! I do not know either artists very well, and their styles are quite different. One being a theatrical story teller and painting a picture with her mannerisms and voice. The other an acrobatic singer purely set in showing of her vocal range and capabilities. Gigi is obviously better since you can feel the emotion in her voice as she builds up the song leaving you that emotion at the end. That is why I can listen to her songs over and over without getting tired of it..

While Lucy's version was absolutely beautiful to hear, it feels very commercial and technical. Gigi's was emotive; she has a way of storytelling musically and expressing what is said would feel that it absorbs you into the moment.
