Gigi’s favorite genre has always been alternative rock…her favorite artists are Paramore and Avril Lavigne. Her and the band are starting to veer more into the rock genre lately, trying to grow out of the ballads and pop music that a lot of Filipino female artists have been grouped into together (collectively know as “biriteras” or “belters”). I think this is a good move for Gigi as this will help her stand out and get more recognition in the Philippines and internationally. As much as I love her belts and high notes, her rock voice is a better fit for her personality and energy, in my opinion. Love her and the Gigi Vibes! 🤘🏼
