GIJOE 1983 DRAGONFLY XH-1 RESTORATION

i got a trade GIJOE DRAGONFLY helicopter.
a parter and not broken. but i broke it in that dreaded usual break area at the rotor.
drats!

Wow, you have an awesome showcase of the dragonfly. Like how you showed the inside and out and all the detail. Cleaned up and fixed up really nice. Really looked amazing finished. Especially with the zip tie. Was fun to watch. Great video

Fantastic restoration of the dragonfly ! I have one myself and I love it . The canopy came out great once you cleaned it . Once I clean my Joe vehicles , I like to spray them down with protectant 303 . It gives them a gloss without the stickiness. Fantastic video amigo!!

thank you! i was using wd40 on the figures since they were a harder plastic. also trying to move the frozen figure arms if it would let me. some i do think there are plastic fizzures. best to leave it alone. i broke my straight arm stalker thinking i found a cure for him. i have noticed wd40 chases lots of dirt out of the joints. i do recommend wiping it down a bunch though. it can come out tacky if its not wiped away. thanks for the advice. ive been trying various restorers on transformers and joes vehicles. the armor all lifts the dirt and plastic stickers on the joe vehicles but i noticed i can put them right back down and wipe out the excess or correct the crooked placements. im not sure if its reacting with whats left of the sticker adhesion or if the armorall is becoming the new glue and theyll fall right off.

Great video. Always loved the dragonfly. I make some repro parts for this using 3d printing and injection molding like skids, rotor hub, rotor blades, and side pods with removable rockets to make it look more like an AH1 Cobra.
