I bought Nemesis Immortal because he's a cool figure that, yes, reminds me of my childhood. That said, I was not sure then, and remain unsure, that he really "belongs" in my Joe universe. The thing is, he doesn't have to - he doesn't have to go anywhere near my Joe display, doesn't mean I can have him elsewhere.

Great honest review of this figure, it’s still the figure to get according to pulse aside from whatever is going on with the popularity of the dialtone, saw viper and zandar wave that can never seem to remain in stock anymore 😂 I didn’t get him, if it never goes back in stock on pulse I won’t have him either. I shelved out for the original Mindbender and serpentor because I started collecting classified last August and those figures and all the priors had already come and gone pretty much and were pretty costly to get. I don’t know that I really want to shelve out 100+ for the big guy 😂 Anywho good honest review Bee, enjoy Id love to see a NECA or Mezco even Mafex version of NI in 1:12 scale to note the difference in final product of him vs what hasbro did for 1:12 scale of NI.

Mine arrived the moment you posted! (DHL was a weird surprise) I have NO problem with the name change to Immortal, he looks great and looks like most recent version from the Energon Universe. A little bit new, a little bit old just like Classified should be. Can't wait to get Sgt. Slaughter into a death fight with this beast of a figure!

I ordered him and should be getting him any day now. I think the figure looks really good from what I’ve seen. I like the OG head, don’t care for the bone mask, and the wings do look a bit scrawny close to the backpack. But overall, I think he looks great. Can’t wait to see the rest of cobra la.

Nice review! He can hold the blades quite well, but you have to turn them the other way. The claw “hooks” on the hilts should aim up. If you look at the blades, you can tell the other side is the edge. If you do it that way, not only do the hands hold the swords tightly, but there’s also a spot for the trigger fingers. Try it out.

Great review. I passed on him… something seemed off. I wasn’t wild about the wings… and I feel like his body should be more like Serpentor shaped and less road pig like…. I think they tried too hard to make the wings like a cobra la critters vs proper wings for him. $44 is steep for him since he doesn’t have a proper pet. Hope everyone else enjoys there figure…. Line is getting so large that I’m now picking & choosing what to get.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

You were trying to put the swords in his hands backwards, that's why he couldn't hold them. Other than that I think this figure is a pretty big win. I wasn't originally into the whole Cobra La thing, but as I've grown older and discovered Lovecraftian horror, now's it a concept I can get behind a lot more. The figure is really hard to stand at first but once you pose him around a bit and break in those joints a bit more it gets much easier to balance him in some cool poses. I can see this figure and the concept behind it and Cobra La not being for everyone, but I'm ready for more!

I skipped. He looks better than I anticipated, but I still don't feel like I need Cobra-La on my shelf. I have a feeling Golobulus is going to turn out to be a deluxe at the same price point as Nemesis, so I'm happy to save the money.

I think what happened with his design is IDW. I think the design team collaborated with IDW either to influence their design or vice versa. That said, I think I am going to remove the bacon-blade sheathes to make him more classic looking. Even though in the cartoon he had white stripes on this legs. I am bummed that the wings can't collapse behind him. I can deal with the shortened flaps...just can't stand the fact that they can't straight up fold behind him. I would almost decide not to display him with the wings. Being that he is 100% all new tooling, I would almost expect Hasbro to release a Retro-Carded version that comes with regular cartoon style wings...but...who really knows. I do know that part of their cost budget is re-use. The larger the library the more they can save money on tooling. I picked up two and they also shipped DHL. I don't know what makes them decide to ship FedEx or DHL, but DHL is terrible. In my case, I should have gotten mine on Friday, as the package was handed off to USPS in my state in a town about 11 miles away. Then....tracking showed it on track BACK to IL. WTH! They stalled it on purpose.

I like what they were going for but I wish the wings looked closer to the way they are in the Skybound comics. Which is very similar but the actual wing parts are bigger. These look either too small to maintain flight or maybe they just aren't open enough but the look of them just throws off the figure for me personally. Other than those I think the figure looks really good even though now I will never unsee bacon blades lol

I think its funny cause in the IDW comics he is only referred to as Nemesis. They conveniently fail to use immortal. Dumb. Overall I was pleased with this figure, glad that the price point was not outrageous. Boot cut would have been appreciated. Had he came with the spore or even the creature that he tosses onto sgt slaughters face would have been nice touch. hasbro joe team sucks at giving us the accessories these characters deserve. BACON! BACON! BACON! Just got mine today! He’s a big, beefy boy! He’ll always be Nemesis Enforcer to me, but I won’t complain about the name. He shouldn’t have trigger hands, needs to have grips. Kind of wish his wings were bigger but it is what it is. Love that the tentacles are bendy. Going to have to have him fight Slaughter!

I enjoy the hell out of Cobra-La, but I won’t begrudge anyone who doesn’t. I also know SOME Joe fans take shit way too seriously. I also saw on IG (Dan Larson’s page) used the Neca Gargoyles wings for him, not too bad imo. At least some of the issues can be helped/fixed. Either way, another solid shake of a review. ✌️

Only reason I didn't get him is mostly because I didn't realize he was a Hasbro Pulse "order it and get it now" figure. I assumed it was just a standard release and I'd wait, see some reviews when he comes out and get him then. Not upset I didn't get him, I'm sure he'll get a reissue or something. Only thing I've missed out on and am angry I missed my chances to get was Serpentor. I still want like a standard release of him as I missed the window on the first one and just didn't have the funds at the time for the re-issues or whatever they were. Only thing that seems bad about this guy from what I've seen are his wings looking kinda janky, like they are put in upside down or something. If I had him I'd probably heat and pop the wings and arms, swap the upper part over and like Upside down I guess is what I'm thinking there, and then just plug the wings in from there. If that makes sense. His trigger finger hands are dumb and this is just a me thing, but those holsters for his knives feels weird. Like they look like normal over sized knife\sword sheaths and it kind of clashes with the whole organic vibe of Cobra-La. Would have been cooler if the blades plugged into his arms so that his arm bone spikes WERE the blades or something like that. I don't know I think that would have been cooler, but then it wouldn't have been very "Classic" which is the biggest thing with this line I've noticed. Its' either TOO CLASSIC or NOT CLASSIC ENOUGH and I'm getting tired of that, I don't know about anyone else but I'm sure as hell getting tired of hearing that from the greater Joe and Toy Collecting Community.

That’s a Walmart like move, I’d never seen that with pulse other than if I cancel it myself, especially if it was still showing in stock when you completed the entire process. I'm not up on Nemesis Immortal (Got with GI Joe 5 years ago when Classified Series kicked off). Can I assume those swords came out of his body? Mine should arrive in the next couple days. As far as a "need to have him", that (for me)n is non sequitur as I'm a neurotic completionist. He was getting got regardless! LOL

I love Cobra Commander, so I got the OAM version. But, I skipped Nemisis. Cobra La doesn't interest me at all. Even my OAM CC is displayed boxed. I do have a theory that this was supposed to be the Pulse Con exclusive, but it was switched out to Starduster for some reason. The box art compliments the OAM set, and was even done by the same artist. It certainly makes a lot more sense than Starduster did.

I've seen some customs of "the giant sleazebat" as Slaughter called him... using Neca Gargoyle wings, and damn, makes him look as he did in the animated film and overall bad ass... And I'm ok with the name change, but Nemesis Enforcer sounds like a better name..

It's not that he can't get a grip on the swords...it's cause he grabbed the bacon out of the frying pan and it's hot! So his grip is more open so he doesn't get severe grease burn.

Hated the Cobra-La cartoon story where they nerfed all the characters for Sgt. Slaughter (Roadblock, Gung-ho, Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes would be able to go toe-to-toe, 1v1 with Nemesis Enforcer). And changed Cobra Commander's true origin. However, Nemesis Enforcer and Pythona were the only interesting characters i would make an exception for including those 2 into the universe. Golobulus was a "meh", but ok. I have to admit the Enforcer figure here looks fantastic (I passed on the Once-A-Man Cobra Commander). This definitely can be used as Serpentor's personal bodyguard. Hope they manufacture a Pythona figure.

Having this now in hand, kinda disappointed how whimpy the wings are. Venom has better wings lol. I mean he uses them as a shield like they are metal. You can't wrap them around him like Angel/Arc Angel. For me the long arm that connects them to the back pack shouldn't be a thing, wings should have been longer. As someone who likes Cobra La this doesn't inspire for the rest of them :( With alot of twisting you can sort of get the wings to cover him so I take that bit back hehe.

Nothing annoys me more than figures that can't hold their weapons, and ones that come with trigger fingers when they don't have guns. Okay maybe figures that come with closed fists and no alternate hands to hold things, that annoys me the most XD
