@@marcelohendrix6139I think the emotion comes from knowing the struggles of getting traded from his own experience. He doesn't want his son to feel like a trade piece on the fringe of the league. Don't try to equivocate this with someone moving for a better job because KJ has no agency when he gets traded. KJ can get waived tomorrow to clear a roster spot. Kenyon can appreciate his son is wanted by good teams and doesn't have to play on bad Rockets teams but this does hurt.

I remember teaching my nieces to play basketball at young ages. Then they ended up moving 1,500 miles away when their mom (my sis) got a dream job offer in another state. The bond we built over basketball, let alone being family and living in the same town, was amazing. Their departure left a huge hole and was painful. Yet, I simultaneously understood that my sister was making this move to secure a better future for her family.

Had to call my nephew in the room and show him the video of KMart trying not to cry 🤣🤣🤣. Shit was hilarious to me. He so tough but the toughness really comes from wearing his heart in his sleeve!

This is why you should strive to be the best at your craft. Then you have control and can dictate instead of being dictated to. Go pass just making it be elite!

Keep your head up Kenyon Martin. I knew this feeling when I was an army brat. Pops was always going to the field and deployments. It’s tough.

Always hard for me to watch a grown man cry. And I’m a grown man who just learned to allow myself to cry. Sounds crazy I know. I never seen my dad or my granddad cry.

He definitely is a high flyer. But that's where it stops. A 6'4 power forward that can't shoot and barely rebound. That boy can definitely jump though
