Good point Gil u and Kenyon are the best on the show keep up the good work
@Stiq_91211 ай бұрын
Same thing happened with DRose and Jimmy. DRose was the man, the MVP. After the injuries Jimmy carried the team. When Rose came back, it wasn’t necessarily his team. Jimmy asserted himself as the de facto leader

Rashad wasn’t 100% wrong he speaking from more of a morality stand point and Gil/Kenyon speaking strictly basketball. They not wrong either. Your best ability is availability

I saw McCants episode on Anton’s podcast, where he admits he tries to take the takes opposing Gil, because it gets him on the show more. And I see it now, it makes sense. The comments calling him dumb, I thought he was dumb too, but now I see, WE are the ones being played lol and Rashad knows how to keep his bag coming in. Well played Bro. I respect that

I caught on 10 episodes in he would argue semantics and then change the argument to something else to try to continue the convo. People dont like K Mart because he agrees a lot with gil but majority of players would all agree on most topics Shad just playing chess to get the clicks
@DP28314 Жыл бұрын
@@VinceVanished yes facts bro. And I’m sure most of the players that agree, still rich too. Like K-mart. But Shad already admitted he isn’t as wealthy anymore on the other podcast. That man is really working . Literally delivering a service, we the fans need a villain. Somebody to keep the story going and the debates loud and he is intentionally fulfilling that need. I get Mccants point. He got them quiet after saying "go ask him" Being apart of a team has some form of respect regardless of ability or availability. Now when you perform and be a locker room guy that's another form of respect.

mccants wants ben to be treated like a star though, which obviously isnt going to happen anymore. then he switched it up and said like a teammate. now i doubt his teammates are roasting this dude or anything negative, so im wondering what mccants really means by respect. because yes ben is injured, but there were alot of times he wasn't and he made the decision not to practice or travel with the team. hard to think of someone as a teammate when you're not around, whether to injury or personal decision. in anycase, being displeased with a teammate doesn't mean disrespect, so again, i want to know what exactly mccants means by respect, because im pretty sure he means "treated like a star" like he was blatantly saying in the beginning of his argument before switching gears

Thing is players like Kawhi, or KD, before they got hurt, they were competitors. They played hard, practiced hard, etc. So they get respect for that. Ben Simmons has shown time and time again all he wants is the status. He came back averaging what 6 -7 ppg? vs someone like a KD who had a more severe injury and came back averaging 27.

Here's the point that's getting missed: Ben Simmons is making $38 million this season and is scheduled to make $40 million next season. Missed the last 24 games of last season plus the first round of the playoffs, where the Nets got swept by the Sixers. Played six of the first seven games this season; hasn't played since November 6th. At the start of the season, he was talking a whole lot about "feeling in the best shape ever" and "can't wait to produce for the team." He supposedly had another procedure in the off-season to fix his ongoing back issues. Now he's out because of his knee...I think. I'm not sure because the reason is constantly changing because he doesn't want to play basketball. He only wants to get paid.

McCant really missing the point. Great example of this is right now Kyrie Irving is injured on the Mavs. HOWEVER KAI prior to that was straight ballin. His teammates love him on Dallas - and Kyrie even though injured TRAVELS with the team to away games. He stays connected /practices and everything. When KAI was on the Nets he was the same. And those young players still talk about Kyries impact. Ben always seperates himself away from the team. If that's what Ben wants he needs to meet them in the middle.
