Having money doesn't automatically make you a leader. You just now become an important resource for the people around you. A true leader will have people want to follow you whether you have money or not....its built off your character and the respect your people have for you.

I think one of them said “financial” leader which would be more appropriate. They are leaders of the family the build from then on which is anyone. Their biggest issue is being that young with all the money & having the maturity to deal with it correctly. Even on the coach , Kenyon played the longest & I’m sure is the most stable financially with Gil being there because of his huge deals. Goes without saying they were responsible with theirs more so than the other guys who had shorter careers .

A leader becomes a leader for many reasons. Maybe they are the toughest on the block, the smartest, the most motivational or inspirational. To me these are all forms of currencies that can easily make you a leader. It just depends on that person whether they are a good one or not. For better or worse, in lower income areas, the person with the money will become a leader.

@drudane82 Anyone can be a leader, rich or poor, tough or weak, old or young. Some leaders are better than others and some are poor. Leaders know how to find the strengths and weaknesses of the people they're leading and utilize them. They know how to make the right calls in sticky situations. They know how to build up the person they're leading, even put them down if necessary. It has nothing to do with having the most money, being alpha, or any of that other bs. A bad leader will cause chaos and lead them into ruin. A dictator demands 🫴 and doesn't lead or leads by force. It is not that hard people. When did we not understand what a Leaders qualities are are start assuming bs?

One thing that stands out in this conversation is that it's important to understand when you're the leader versus when you're being leeched on and surrounded by opportunists. A true leader can galvanize and influence those around them outside of just being a bank to them. Ppl doing what you do or going where go or being ok with your decisions just means they're staying in line because they don't want to be cut off. It's not about leadership, it's about survival. I'm not saying every situation is like this, but many of the scenarios they're referring to in this video is

Most of these athletes are not leaders, like they claim they be. They just make more money. The people you see around them are people that have "time on their hand". Its not Leadership, Kenyon and Rashad.. You're the guys with all the money. That's why they follow you. Having the most money doesn't make you a leader. People want to you to spend money on them. Sidenote: Josiah needs to moderate the conversations better because its too many people talking over each other and cutting off someone's opinions to dominate a conversation.

Imagine working on your skill and becoming one of the best at it before the age of 22. By 21 you're an elite professional and someone come in your life and tell you that you're not a leader just because of something they were thinking about sitting on the couch.... Imagine that..

The problem is NBA players and athletes in general think once they get some money, they're suddenly a better person or theyre better than others. Money just makes you more of what you are. These problems would already showed themselves when they were poor or before they made it pro

You create a job for the homie , 1 is to make your life easier to make you able to make more bread in return , 2 is they run a valuable part of a company of yours you help to create with them. If neither of these are good for the homie than the homie ain’t the homie and never was.

How about this, put away $5 million dollars every year of your career so that you will have equity over time and go to the owner and ask him about the best businesses to invest in like Magic Johnson did with Dr.Buss.

you may not become a leader because of the money but you do become an opportunity creator. Instead of giving how bout putting your people in position to earn and or grow a business or something of that nature.

Bj, the person that didn't need to make it this guy's hates his success but wants the notoriety for what he's done. Dude said once, he hates that his mom asked him for something, right after saying my mom used to have to make ends meet to get him to all the Aau's and bb camps😢.

Tbf he also said his mum was signing contracts for him that gave her a % of all his shit without him knowing... I would take care of my mum regardless but I feel if you're a good parent and raised your kids right they would naturally want to make sure you're good so you don't need to do sneaky shit like that

Exactly don’t buy expensive shit if you don’t need it. Spend your money on shit that will benefit you long term like personal trainers, strength and conditioning coach, a personal chef, nutritionist, a clothes stylist if you don’t know how to dress yourself.

It’s not about who has the most money that makes you a leader. It’s Your Heart. MANSA MUSA was a Real Leader. 400 billion in Gold. He Blessed A lot of People with that Gold, Because He, like them, Knew What it felt like to Have Nothing, and So When He Rose to Power, He Blessed Every Piece of Land He Set Foot On. That’s what makes you a Leader. Your Heart.
