How? 😅 We're talkin' bout Mr. Gil-Scott Heron and all Gil has ever accomplished within his Musical Expertise, Colabertive within all Gil has ever been associated with. Many thanks to Hofstra College of New York, NY for answering my call back in 1982, when I called in to ask Who was This, and What have I just heard.

Gil Scott Heron. Still the best. I'm missing you just my only sister of the same womb. Who we used to dance to most of your tunes, especially this song and the -"Bottle". May both your souls rest in peace of the creator that of my sister Josephine Esieza Ugiomoh. And lately that of my beloved and dear mummy Mrs Winifred Ugiomoh.I miss you all. @@pattymulligan2389 The honor was mine. It is good to see others of like mind. His bravery and honesty stand as a testament we should all embrace. For all nationalities but especially blacks. His music and written poetry are shouting to a people to wake up..."stop pulling contracts for the man' educate motivate then reach back and stimulate those that come after you. This pays homage and respect to those who came before you! This was one of the best minds of a generation. I will never forget and my sons and daughters will know!

PM ...Fortunately, a lot of his work has been recorded and published. I highly recommend "Message to the messengers" as well as "Work for Peace' on the "SPIRITS" CD. The other songs are poignant and detail his battles with relationships, lost time, and substance abuse in a way only GSH can admonish.
