For every fucked up thing that’s happened in this country recently, there’s a Gil Scott Heron song from 40+ years ago that touches upon it.

There are 231,556,622 eligible voters 25.6% voted for Clinton 25.5% voted for Trump 1.7% voted for Johnson 46.9% voted for Nobody 74.2% voted against Trump. But more importantly, 46.9% of the Registered voters have voted for nobody. Therefore that indicates that nobody, should be the President. B Movie stays relevant.

Yes he did have great insight on political and social issues of the day. I, too, would love to hear his insight on the political climate over the last eight years and especially now with Donald J. Trump. I've always loved and been into Gil Scott-Heron. Back in the day (the 1970s and 1980s) when he make this song, many of the young sisters and brothers in my community didn't really appreciate him because he was doing commentary on current events. This meant that to know what he was talking about, it was necessary to pay attention to the news and know something about politics. And young people weren't that interest in either then. But now that they're older, wiser, and more mature, I think they have gained a new appreciation for Gil and his work.

Angel Dust was the first song I’ve heard, so I was a fanatic fan of Gil Scott since 1981 . But most importantly is the fact that I take intensive lessons in English for a better understanding of his lyrics. He gave me the guiding map of the whole life . Further he told exactly how stupid the humans can be. RiP Gil ❤❤❤❤❤

Genius Gil dropping this real historical insight in USA society first on Reflections in 1981 (or earlier recent history updates like Bicentennial- & H2Ogate Blues from 1973 & 1976), relevant to this very day. Sadly history repeating, only new actors. From B actor Reagan to Reality TV show host Trump, from "Good old boys" to Proud Boys. And again "Civil Rights, women's rights, gay rights it's all wrong" & "Racism is up, human rights are down".
