An exceptional performance given the technical demands of the piece. Breathless, I'd call it. The only thing better would have been to hear it live.

Another fabulous Shaham performance! The mind floats inside each beautiful note. On YT his performance of Prokofiev Violin 2 with LaJolla Symp. was a bit faint on the timpani, not so here.

The last movement is super, what a technique.. but the 1st and 2nd movements are OK.
