I know this is still a solid win. But we should avoid having slow starts. People should by now get what Coach Tim is saying that our team hasn't reached its peak yet. Peak form means maintaining the standards and levels of play despite who they play against. That involves execution, decision making, stepping up and being decisive and dictating the tempo. Carl did a good job imposing his game. And that's what we need for us to get to that level. The less we need JB to score 30-35. Keep his scoring at 20-24 (which means he gets to score more crucial and clutch buckets).

Yeah, those words "win or lose" makes a lot of difference, CTC's system is working right now & we're winning games, but as you know, nothing, i mean nothing lasts forever, which includes basketball too, you win games, you lose games, that's a glaring fact that every coach faces, day-in day-out! I just hope our people would be "fair enough" to CTC the moment he losses some of those games, and not "demonize" him like what our people(many basketball fans) did to CTC's predecessor, which was really unfair to the guy, they even made personal attacks on his family, really unacceptable behavior coming from basketball fans who are basically "just arm chair coaches," people who have never ever spent a day in their life as a professional basketball head coach. Let's hope this kind of "pathetic behavoir" never ever happens again!

Carl should speak in English in interviews, In fact all of them during interviews, this is an International Competition. It is almost a given.

I think he could have done it that 8:37 way because he has the ability to speak the.english .. but is shoild not be imposed.. the media team covering should have a running translation captions .. they usually do and we have seen that in an international setting where players has no ability and capacity to speak english I would infer that the local media team wasnt prepared for that..what if a chinese who cant speak english was sitting there.. or shkumd have given carl the instruction to speak in english ..

Gilas need a player like abando in the roster to boosts a perimeter defence. We already have Jun Mar and Kai for rim protection and Renz is the key to stop those many 3 points shots

Correct, he got interviewed in Japan and he's fine. But it's different when it's in front of kababayan, nakakakaba mag-English. In Japan, not many speak English so mas ganado si Carl dun mag-English. Imaginine nya na lang na nasa Japan sya.

@@Amourde-w3i We know that but you still need driver plays to mix it up. This is used when shooting becomes cold. We beat Latvia because they were ice cold shooting outside even though they have all the ball movement. They have no driver. A team needs at least 2 drivers. For Gilas, we have healthy tall drivers though they need to improve pa -- Malonzo, Lopez, Harris, Bayla.

walang problema kung magtagalog. its in the philippines. and tagalog is never prohibited to use regardless the event and situation it is. same with european, latins, etc. at alam mo sa kahit anong klaseng tao, nakakadrain ung sobramg dami mo napapansin na mali esp sa mga basketball players, they sacrifice a lot, their body, even mind and whatever.
