The disrespect for guys like TMAC and Penny is insane. Yes, Orlando and early Houston TMAC is the same level with Kobe, no weakness, so easy, keep that in mind. TMAC before he was injury head to head against Kobe and educated Melo, LBJ most of time they faced each other.

Offensively I agree that Kobe and TMac could do the same things except TMac was definitely a better 3 point shooter. But Kobe definitely had more scoring potential, meaning when Kobe got hot vs when TMac got hot he was far more dangerous than TMac. In terms of complete game Kobe was definitely a better defender than TMAC even when both were at their peaks.

@@nunyabusiness8498agree. What I want to say is TMAC is one of very few guys could against or very close to Kobe in his career at least for a period of time. And TMAC can play like a point guard, or you can say a point forward, which is highly underrated!

Tmac was extremely athletic for a big ass guard. He was dunking and floating through the air like Kobe and Vince. He’s in a whole other category compared to them slow fat forwards like melo and pierce

Melo was much faster in his prime than Pierce. His first step was lightning. Why do you think the jab step worked so well? Cause people knew he could blow by them and then either pull up or layup. Jab step, they back up expecting you to drive, and he swishes a jumper without even taking a dribble. You're just talking last couple years in NY and OKC Melo. That said, Tmac had it all and if he played on an even half decent team in his prime before his body broke down he could have had an Ring or an MVP, he was that good. Athletic, clutch, shoot from anywhere, crazy finishes around the basket, could pass.
