The problem with this is thinking that older equals a certain level of maturity. But the problem in this particular scenario is if an older woman were mature, she would never be with someone her child's age and then have a child with them. That's not maturity. In fact, one could argue that the fact that she is older and doing this suggests she would never mature, and that is more detrimental to a kid than dating someone who is the same age.
