Rashad McCants was recruited by Matt Doherty and those guys (McCants, Felton, May had drama that ran Coach Doherty off after the worst season Carolina has had… As long as I can remember they went 8-20) and everyone questioned the hype around these guys. Roy Williams comes the next year (2003) and by 2005 they win it all. McCants owes any clout or accolades he has accomplished to Roy Williams. 2003 McCants would have never been drafted. Roy Williams left Kansas to come rescue Carolina. McCants is like a troll or better yet a rat. He almost got 2005 and 2009 championships vacated because of his claims. Which would have eventually cost UNC recruiting and an eventual 2016 NCAA final, 2017 Championship and we might have never seen 2022 when Carolina send Mike Kryzewski in to retirement in a body bag with a final four loss to Carolina and his last game EVER at Cameron Indoor being a loss to UNC. McCants made these false claims, nobody else supported the claims, McCants didn’t have enough evidence to prove his claims, his teammates said it’s bullshit. UNC was not punished. But he almost cost Roy Williams an entire 40 year legacy. 3 championships and the legitimacy of the entire UNC Chapel Hill basketball program. Raymond Felton was not “destroyed”, in fact, all I heard was body shaming from Gilbert Arenas. The Notorious BIG comment had me ☠️😂😂😂. But Gilbert said nothing factual. By the way, the guy you question is Theo Pinson 2017 National Champion and UNC’s lock down defender. Theo Pinson was like a 6th man role. But make no mistake, his hyped up style of playing would pull UNC out of a funk in games where they were losing and he would be all over the floor.
