Can someone explain to me the falling out between Gilbert and Howard that keeps getting referenced in the comments? Was it because of a specific incident or is Howard just too woke and PC now to have one of his all time greatest guests on anymore? Talk about a guy who doesn't remember what made the show great in the first place and the guests and employees that made all of the memorable moments of laughter. I get Stern wanting to tone things down a bit more in his 60s and be known as more of an interviewer but he should be someone fighting the fight against PC culture and all of this cancel culture and censorship bs going on today. I guess if you have 650 million in the bank and a wife twenty years younger it doesn't matter. He seems more interested now in being "pals" with all of the left wing elites that he used to shit on and would never have even appeared on his old show pre 2010.

Gilbert was never banned because of licking the cupcakes. He was on after that multiple times. The problem in my opinion came after Sirius and XM merged. I remember Artie would say the N word and Howard would cringe and act uncomfortable when a year before Howard would laugh. Gilbert with his humor just became too much for Howard to handle. His last appearance was in 2010 or 2011 I think after getting fired from Afflack.
