TRUSTING IN other people will usually disappoint. This week’s reading in Psalms is timely, giving that we’re less than three weeks away from electing a new president in the United States.
Americans, remember this verse:
Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. Ps. 146:3 (ESV)
“A son of man” in this context refers to a human, not to the New Testament “Son of Man,” a messianic title Jesus applied to himself nearly 80 times. The point is that we need to remember, amidst all the distractions of life, that there is only One who “keeps faith forever,” and that is God.
Our questions of the week: How do we apply scripture to our lives, given the way scripture has been “desupernaturalized” since the time of Augustine 1,600 years ago, and do our ancestors become angels when they die, watching over us in our day-to-day lives?

I believe I first heard from you guys back in 2010 give or take a few years. That was the year I was baptized. I would watch Skywatch and Prophecy Watchers with my late grandmother. Your voices have been a source of comfort through many trying times. I just love you both. I thank you for all your teachings. Especially when you break down the scriptures. For a person who grew up in "special Ed" and had learning disabilities. Having people break things down how I can understand is such a blessing. May the Lord continue to bless and protect you both. 🙏💙🙏

I remember after an online prayer meeting we were chatting and I said excitedly “ well God can translate us anywhere, wouldn’t that be amazing” and the pastor said “now you are being silly. Time to close the meeting.” 😂😂. I don’t know why folk don’t trust the Bible. Wilfully ignorant. I learned so much after I left ‘church’. They are all compromised or asleep around here. I had a visit by a dark spirit - something was strangling me in bed. I managed to squeeze out “Jesus” and it went. Then once we hired a gypsy caravan in Wales but I slept in the shed thing, hubby was in the caravan. This chill and total feeling of fear descended in the night and I couldn’t sleep, was frozen in place. I prayed and the Holy Spirit said “praise me”. I started singing and the fear went and I felt a hand closing my eyes and I was asleep. Very recently this was re-enforced when I asked what He wanted me to do, and I heard “just praise me. Praise is warfare”

Derek, your response was okay. Maybe it was cause someone to think. So many want Jesus in the white House. That White House. That would be wonderful but not reality. I'm for that party that is closest to Biblical. 🙏
