My husband and I just booked the same seats. Our concern is where did you store your carry on items without bothering others. We want them accessible.
@GilbertTravels3 жыл бұрын
The center row 1 seats have the crew rest overhead so they lack luggage bins. However you have to think that each luggage bin on the plane would normally be for three or more economy seats of carry on items, so there should be plenty of space to stow your carry ons. Most business class seats lack storage for bags so they will need to be stowed during taxi, takeoff, and landing. During the flight, especially with row one and the larger footwells, you could bring a reasonably sized bag in the seat with you and put it below or in the footwell, to access laptops and things of that nature. I wouldn't overly worry about bothering people by accessing your bags in the overheads though, everyone is in the same circumstance there so it is just part of taking the flight. Enjoy your trip!

Turkish is impressive. When there is a trolley I always say I'll try one of everything. Years ago when I said this they never said no. I really love seeing airline food. Also you can always ask to have the beef cooked rare or medium rare. Tell them to cook it for no more than 15 minutes. I hate well done meat. I wished I had filmed some of my amazing flights back in the day.

I will definitely fly Turkish again! Next time I will make sure to go more hungry, came off way too much heavy food in Austria (which was delicious) into this flight.

Nice 1A "upgrade!!!!" Certainly looks like a sleeker Singapore J seat. Impressed. Do they have a walk-up, J class self-serve bar? #autolike Another great review.
@GilbertTravels5 жыл бұрын
No self serve bar or snack area. That was a disappointment for a daytime flight if you got a hankering for a snack. On other routes on this aircraft a dedicated snack menu was handed out for anytime on demand dining. Not sure why we did not get that on our flight.

In the near future, Emirates will likely remove all A380s. Terrible regrets, all companies using the A380. Emirates has ordered A350 and 787 dreamliners and is already using some of them. If i don't know wrong.

Did you get a sense of TK's economy cabin/ service? Also I love their new uniforms. I get a sense by reputation they're good all around
@GilbertTravels3 жыл бұрын
I did not go back to economy on this flight. I would fly Turkish economy though, they look to provide a nice service and pride themselves on not offering a premium economy because of their economy class’ quality. They do have some great classy uniforms, yes.

What miles did you use? You said 220,000 but was it a direct booking or on a partner?
@GilbertTravels5 жыл бұрын
Great question, I used Aeroplan, which is 55,000 mi one way to Europe, or 110,000 round trip. At the time I made my booking I was allowed a stopover and an open jaw on a single itinerary at that cost (MIA-OSL-AMS-VIE-IST-ATL), but the program rules have changed since then to not be as generous. So 220,000 was the total for two tickets.
@kalimahjenkins63075 жыл бұрын
Ok thanks. I was getting ready to book ATL-ADD; ADD-ENT; NBO-ATL on Turkish through United. 160,000 round trip in business. Wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything before transferring UR points over to United.
@GilbertTravels5 жыл бұрын
@@kalimahjenkins6307 Gotcha, UR doesn't transfer to Aeroplan anyway, so United is your way to go. United allows a stopover on a round trip booking as well (search "United Excursionist" for more info), so consider taking advantage of an extra leg/destination on your redemption at no additional cost! Enjoy the trip!
@kalimahjenkins63075 жыл бұрын
Yes it doesn’t transfer and I don’t have any MRs. I’m using excursionist perk for the intra flight from ADD-ENT. Thanks.

Actually looks like a really good seat, Billy! You say front row, do all seats have as much legroom as that one?
@GilbertTravels5 жыл бұрын
All the foot wells are just as deep, but the front row is about twice as wide. I showed it for about one second what the regular seat looked like, tighter, but I think very workable.

When you arrive at Atlanta, expect a LOT of Delta aircraft
@GilbertTravels4 жыл бұрын
Ohh yes, I flew Delta quite a bit the latter half of 2019 and that involved a lot of connecting through ATL as well. I even commented in my A321 review of Delta that all of their flights do eventually lead to Atlanta.

More smile and less subscribing reminder. And please never ever compare any single thing between any U.S. airline with any European or Asian airline. Cause U.S. airlines have a long way to learn for example about lounges and catering at least!

Thanks for your feedback. The average viewer for a flight review is only watching 25-30% of the video, so having one call for subscribers at the end isn’t really effective. Like it or not, having subscribers is what KZbin wants to see to let a channel grow, so I only ask because it really is helpful for me if people subscribe. Certainly don’t want it to be annoying and I appreciate you watched enough of the video to see more than one request since I always edit my videos to be watched all the way through!
