It can absorb some properties of attacks, like heat and lightning, giving his attacks that effect. And as seen in the fight with Oxob, energizing the armor also energizes Gild, which appears to amplify all of the above properties. The main weaknesses seem to be; he can't control gold that's been broken off his armor, so it can be worn down; acquiring gold to maintain the armor is difficult given the value of the metal, and he can't use other metals; and he can only make the armor so tough, as it can still be broken even if he's completly focused. Just adding the detail of the dad's power adds so much to his son's armor choice.

If he stopped Gildedguy, that might make him “involved” in a duel that was supposed to be just Gildedguy and Jade. It’d be breaking the rules of engagement or something. Now i have noticed that he rarely uses his sword ability when near others people's, like he has only used it to it's fullest when he is very far away to others people besides his enemies, this is his only fight where he does it and he didn't even use it like he did against bog and oxob. Now made prominent in Gildedguy vs Oxob, Gildedguy's equipment seems to conduct and resist most energy quite well. Even his cape survived being ignited and appeared to reshape itself, his sword was able to stay ablaze for some time without any appearant fuel, and the gauntlets allow Oxob to shoot his lightning at specific targets.

Vs Oxob: Uses the conductivity of his armor to counter Oxob’s electric attacks, wraps up Oxob’s hands before using his pen and cape like Benjamin Franklin’s key kite to electrocute Oxob. R.H.G: Works his creativity in conjunction with his fellow fighter’s air powers. Vs Mar: Uses the gold horde to repeatedly empower himself and go blow to blow with the dragon. Made this a 1am :)

This is a good fight. Jade’s skills lie within her fighting technique. She actually kicks gilded’s ass for most of the fight, but the location they were in let gilded get the best of her. Gildedguy’s skills lie within his environment, often relying of his surroundings to get the better of his opponent, which makes up for his lacking fighting skills.
