Eamon Dunphy looks genuinely pissed! He seems to think that Barcelona didn´t only play the best football in Europe for some years (which is true) but that they, because of that, assume a kind of moral superiority. Consequently, he seems to see Bayern München as a team which didn´t only outclass Barcelona but, by doing so, violated human rights. To him, everyone who says that Bayern München were by far the better team is not just wrong about the facts but has a really bad character! He just keeps ranting on like "Boohoohooo, they thrashed my beloved Barcelona who, by being so good at football, did more for mankind than an overall AIDS medication or even world peace itself could ever hope to do! How dare they? But I´ll hate them forever!" Get on with it, Mr. Crybaby!

***** I have watched the match a number of times now. I just think Brazil were shit and Germany were not. Brazil were never going to win The World Cup this year. It was the worst Brazilian squad sent out in decades. Take the opening game against Croatia who were robbed of a draw against a Brazilian team that showed all the signs at the beginning of the tournament that they will be massacured by a more organised unit a.k.a. Germany. Don't get me wrong Brazil showed decent character to make a some what average come back against Croatia but the Japanese ref who had not a word of English on him when it is the universal language of football was a fucking joke. The penalty awarded to Brazil which was a dive was made due to incompetence on the part of the ref and saved the Brazilian team from being linched on day one of the tournament. The Brazilian defense was a disgrace from day one. David Luiz the 50 pence player constantly out of breath from sprinting back to the position he should have been covering to begin with. The game was not fixed, Brazil just had no plan A against Germany let alone a plan B.

These dudes keep talking bout how Barca players have been playing at a high level for 5 years CL and EC and WC. Just to recap. Germany 08, Bayern UEFA Semi Finals, 09/10 CL Finals, WC Semi Finals, 11/12 CL Finals, Euros Semi Finals, 12/13 Triple. A lot of the players on the Bayern team are national team players. They were also in a lot of domestic cup finals during that time. Just saying: 'Excuses'.

I don't really think it's sad. Sure they won a huge amount of trophies and perfected a brilliant system to play football......But my god it was sooooooo boring to watch just possession, passing more passing and the inevitable Messi tap in. There were some brilliant moments of genius broughtby Barcelona but really they are yielding to an outright, more beautiful exciting and interesting style of football. It's great to watch.

It's much safer for them to appear skeptical about the likelihood of the result indicating Bayern is THE emerging force in European football. It's still surprising that one fellow spends so much time making excuses for Barcelona. The aggregate result would have been humiliating for any top European side, let alone Barcelona.

I would really like to hear how Eamon Dunphy thinks about Barca compared to Bayern now. Does he still not like people talking about what Bayern might be and what they might do, we saw about that now, 7 - 0 was not enough for him to realize it was, really, a big humiliation and at that time every club was afraid to meet barca. Dunphy also assured us that Bayern would never match the great barca - so stupid to say that, It's not an excuse because there wasn't Puyol and Messi- it's a weakness, a weakness Bayern had when they used to depend only on robben, they were a one man team. Look at bayern from when Heynckes took in charge till now, they won tough matches without robben, ribery , martinez, schweinsteiger... I would say Bayern are going to be greater than the great Barca at their best...

I have loved watching Barcelona, but I also admire the recent play of the German national team (except against Italy) and this Bayern Munich team.
