In May 2010, sex worker Shannan Gilbert called 911 in a panic from a home in Long Island and ran away. Police found her remains 17 months later in a marsh nearby. The search for Gilbert led to the grim discovery of the bodies of four women on Gilgo Beach and the search for a serial killer began. What I don’t understand is why the cops didn’t go over there after the neighbor called the cops they could easily get the address from the neighbor who called the police after she knock on his door. just keep in mind probably she was his first victim of him so of course they didn’t find her the same ways they find the others victims and also it took them a long time so you never know what happened between if he just dumped her there after a few day because the police didn’t find her just a while later I feel so sorry for her heartbroken RIP angel

Shannan’s story weighs heavily on my heart, may this tormented family finding healing and justice. There is something here more nefarious than what is already told. I believe Shannan was the victim of a murderer or murderers. Amazingly even with global attention the perpetrators are being protected by the law and that is the most frightening part, the cover up! That older guy brought her into his home and asked to sit down while he called 911, she then ran right out his front door and hid behind his boat, he called out to her to come back the police were on their way, but then she saw the headlights of her driver coming toward her trying to help also but she ran from him too. Brewer probably slipped her something and once it kicked in she knew she was in danger and the poor thing wasn’t going to trust anyone after that. Not the elderly man not Micheal Pak. This is absolutely 😢😢heartbreaking.

Yes, because that’s what people tend to do - Get lost and confused in tall grass and drown in shallow water. That’s far more likely than the known serial killer operating in that area at that time hunting down woman in her line of work. Her and the other 10 bodies recovered along that stretch of road all stumbled into the dangerous grass and puddle. Probably. That makes sense. Not to mention the fact that she was found face up…. Which is inconsistent with a drowning. Or the fact that she’s identifying someone after her and trying to kill her. But okay, it was the grass and water that brought the mental “freak out”.
