Gili Meno Underwater Statues - On a busy day

We had seen videos of the Nest underwater statues just off the island of Gili Meno in Indonesia and thought they would be fantastic to visit and get some cool videos of. Yeah, well so did a lot of other people who were probably hoping for that perfect Instagram photo.
It's a case of Expectations vs Reality.
This is a look at what it is like on a busy day. So many snorkelers, it's chaotic.
I suspect that it's like this every single day. The only way to perhaps get footage or photos alone is maybe if you stay on the Island and go out after the boatloads of Tourists leave for the day or early before they arrive.
The Gili Island‘s underwater statues have become somewhat of an icon in Indonesia. Nest, which was designed by Jason deCaires Taylor is located off the coast of Gili Meno. The statues were installed in 2017 and ever since, snorkelers and divers have been flocking to the islands.
