The 87s hand you should have checked raised the turn instead of the flop. There would be no reason for you in a 3-bet pot to check raise the flop on a Q-Q-6 rainbow board with a queen. Can't blame the guy for calling you down with A6.
@emiri29796 ай бұрын
@Face_The_Void not really, people rarely are raising trips on the flop. Check raising the turn would be alot more effective and he would have alot more fold equity
@DTR1LL6 ай бұрын
I agree. Most people will check raise turn instead of flop with a Q.

Villain on last hand could have A◇9◇ with flopped pair+flush draw but then he checked turn. Turning 8♧7♧ into a bluff on a super dry QQ6 flop is tough. The only value hands you can have there that make sense are 77-1010 putting pressure on any 6 or A/K highs. Hard to get one through there. Nice comeback.

I was saying fold the QQ before results. Theory wrong but just felt like you were losing that hand.

In a live setting, nobody is jam bluffing $2.1k over a $200 bet with a bluff. Screams AA or KK
@mrhumble29376 ай бұрын
@leeboymc6270 agree but I've done it in live setting with draws
@leeboymc62706 ай бұрын
Yee, but board was not draw heavy at all. Based on the action he doesn’t have any sensible draws
@leeboymc62706 ай бұрын
Open ended flush draw is sensible sine you can realize your equity & have fold equity

You called 4x pot flop jam after just calling pre out of concern for his hand.

Hey Gil, how are you doing? I'm coming to miami to play at hard rock Seminole at the end of the year (I've played there before but never vlogged). Is it ok to just sit on the table and start vlogging, or do I need some sort of autorization? Thanks for the help and congrats on the vlogs!

Do you ever play in Jacksonville?
@iphonelover46106 ай бұрын
Think 87 hand can probably jam river depends how sticky you think opponent will be with pairs, I will say most players probably are overly sticky on turn with pocket pairs

Would probably give up some ax and broadway combos of clubs tho alsp

you need to bluff more when the stakes are higher later levels. dont be afraid to 4 bet jam when the opponets are 3 betting light. 9 times out of 10 if you dont over do this you get folds making it a plus ev play

you’re a stud gil jack
@victorfrankenstein502026 ай бұрын
Damn, if you’re gonna blast off that much on a bluff, then you might as well shove the river, when he tables an A-6 to “read your soul”, as you put it.
@nicholi27896 ай бұрын
Yeah I don’t know how he gives up river there
@internetposta73896 ай бұрын
Your first call there was really bad. "His 3 betting range is going to be really strong". You beat almost nothing and called anyways. Big leak.

always good to announce your top ups, makes ppl realize you need more chips, makes them think you about to go on tilt ,and prevents you from not getting the amount you you want out and getting dealt aces.. after a loss ... saying 2,3,4 more thousand dealer and then getting aces.. who's gonna believe you when you raise after they just heard u call of more chips
@dfamily23856 ай бұрын
Easy fold QQs. Thats overbet
@831bweiser6 ай бұрын
Agree. I love in the 78cc hand when he says river shove would be a spew. The whole hand is freaking spew.
@mrhumble29376 ай бұрын
I'd fold but def not easy. Can't be that easy to bluff with over cards.
@wklee86326 ай бұрын
I think u play the hand badly for the 8c7c I would flat flop (wraping a queen) turn check , if he bet C/R him * should be over*
@jakeminer85036 ай бұрын
check raising is much better than floating with 8 high..
@wklee86325 ай бұрын
@@jakeminer8503 If u got a Q , you would flat only , its more convicning story than raising
@chancelorpalmz6 ай бұрын
I never like a flat with QQ I rather fold... you have no clue where you stand , rather raise again and if they shove I know its aces or kings and I can lose less in the long run but by just calling raise you have no information so now when flop is jack high or lower you dont know what to do
@chancelorpalmz6 ай бұрын
instead of calling 225 and betting 200 on a flop under Q's how about raising 250 to 550 and folding if they make it another raise and we save 2k if we calling with over pair we never know where we are at if we aren't the last aggressor, also how I trapped a guy w Aces by flatting the 4 bet
@FlowStateOptimal6 ай бұрын
I don't think you understand how polar BB 3!s are. Especially live. At minimum it's AK. If you're playing online and BB villain has 3! Bluffs like QJs flatting is the way to go.
