That doesn't really make sense 360 overdrive. The characters actions, whether you love or hate them, is always dictated by writing. So if the current character or story is bad, then their just a bad story or character. Doesn't mean they couldn't get better, but they are bad.

This is what I love about Street fighter. It all started with martial artists fighting in a tournament and look at where we are now. There's prophecies, there's this evil corporation, a group of assassin girls, Abe Lincoln president of the world, red guy in oil, men that look like they're wearing nothing at all, nothing all, nothing at all, and I assume we will be seeing a robot woman that used to be a man and is running on the powers of Yin and Yang? Idk wth is happening anymore but the rule of cool triumphs at the end

My theory: Originally, Gill was created to show off the power of the CPS3. He was made red and blue to show that they don't have to mirror sprites anymore. That was in 1997. Now, in 2019, that's no longer impressive and Street Fighter is in polygons, not pixels. So, they made him now that he always has the same side facing his opponent, unlike everybody else. (Notice that, in the year of our Lord, 2019 A.D., Vega's claw still switches hands.)

it took them 39 of these for there to be one that I finally like. yeah, there's a LOT of bullshit here, but I almost feel like this re-contextualizes daddy two-tones here in an interesting light. in spite of a life of being selectively bred and trained for his role as emperor when the black moon descends, it's not a role he particularly enjoys. Gill is a victim of fate, and a slave to what he feels is preordained. He almost sounds... bored with it, and the things he can find any joy in are those things that surprise him, and what he can do after the prophecy is fulfilled and mayhap he can take time to actually... y'know, live, instead of following the book of Miraha to a T. I do kinda wish he would have gotten a fight with Menat. that would have been fascinating.
