I just sharpened it because it sounded extremely muffled. I hate muffled sound. What you remember is probably another remix or version. John Carpenter did several versions of this. Hi Gilles, I was just wondering how you get past copyright claims on your videos, I noticed that KZbin's 'content ID' credited the original artists music tracks down in the video description but is there a method you use to avoid your videos getting taken down due to copyright? Do you contact the rights owner for permission to use their music? Do you purchase a music licence? Or has KZbin been nice enough to keep your videos up by just crediting the artists? I'm still very new to KZbin's ways of copyright so I'm just looking for some insight haha. I also have another question: when remastering and extending your music tracks where do you source the original music from? Do you rip an audio file from an official CD release? Do you download the music files from the internet? How do you source the original music tracks to put through your editing software? Thanks, Liam.

Hello. I simply upload the videos and then, it has a "verification" tab that says if the video has a copyright claim (content ID) or not. Most of my videos have that. But then, it says this: "Copyrighted content detected. The rights holder allows the content to be used on KZbin, but you cannot monetize the video." (translated from French). So, you can use it (but you'll get ads on the video). I only had once a video taken down manually by a guy (read the Candyman problem on the community section of my channel) but that guy was a degenerate assh*le. Sometimes the videos get blocked right away but it is usually an error (or it happens when the music is brand new or just released or not yet officially released) from their system and you can contest it. Usually it gets approved. No need to purchase anything, that would be insane. You advertise their music and they get money from it, so taking them down would be nonsense. And I always try to get the best quality of source possible (lossless). When it's not released, I get it directly from the movie and always search for "recording sessions" albums as they have unreleased material that is very helpful for what I do.

Your parents allowed you to see Jaws but not Halloween? Jaws was pretty scary too for the kid I was. I remember that I watched Jaws 3 when I was something like 10 and it made me have nightmares for days 😅 And yet, in the past, the original fairy tales for kids were very scary, not like the sweetened versions from Disney. The eternal boogeyman stories were classic for kids.
