"TV's longest running sci fi series". Look, I have recently found the X-Files and love it. But c'mon! The X-Files is NOT the longest running sci fi TV series. Not by a long shot. Doctor Who is. It began in 1963.

@@Rach90 Then they should've said "in the US" but they didn't. It's a pretty embarrassing blunder to not fact check something like that with a two second google search before putting it to air. Doctor Who is a cultural icon. And Gillian Anderson even watched Doctor Who as a kid!

@@zhjluster Of course Doctor Who has had to change lead actors (though the main character is still the same)! It would be completely impossible for the show to still be going otherwise. It's about to turn 60 years old! Most of the original cast are long dead, or very elderly. William Hartnell who played the first Doctor died almost 50 years ago. Still makes Doctor Who the longest-running scifi show in history by a long shot.

Yes, people were. Not all fans wanted a revival, especially as news leaked that Carter broken Mulder and Scully up.
