11:22 I love that, even multiple seasons later, Alison still does Pierce's "caw, caw!" sandwich-stealing gag without missing a beat.

The brilliance of her performance is that I believe that she's the most educated person in the cast. I've seen interviews w/ her, and her level of intelligence is really remarkable and quite impressive.

Anyone else see facial similarties with pale version Michael Jackson? That bone structure.... She's very attractive though, but the one who seemed the least polished in the cast. Line delivery was often forced, BUT perhaps that's the genius of playing Britta...insufferable, contradictory Know-it-all. Wonder if she'd done comedy before Community.

Cool SA in the second clip…

That wasn't sexual assault. Sexual assault means it was intentional. That was just a really embarrassing accident caught on camera between two friends. You can see how incredibly awkward Joel McHale was by it and Gillian Jacobs clearly wasn't actually angry at him but was moreso amused. Speaking as a chick, it happens! Especially in acting. I'm at acting school. Movement class means plenty of accidental awkward physical contact.

@@TheTardisDreamer It's clearly intentional, he did it to be funny. As for whether or not she was angry, did you ask her? People laugh stuff off all the time because they are either embarrassed or don't want to be punished, or both.

@@mutantlabor He did not do it on purpose. Really. Look at his face. That should be proof enough. That is not Joel McHale having fun. That is the most awkward and uncomfortable you'll ever see him (and I've been a fan of the show since 2011 so I've seen plenty of bts videos). The only time that comes close is the time he accidentally hit Alison Brie with a basketball and was again very embarrassed and worried he'd hurt her. Jeff Winger might be a womaniser, but Joel McHale in real life has been happily married for over 25 years and has a family. The cast were extremely close (aside from Chevy Chase) but absolutely nothing creepy or weird happened between him and any of the female cast members ever. They were all just friends. There were never any fallouts or animosity between the cast members. And they were all on close terms with Dan Harmon too and all the writers. And Yvette Nicole Brown wouldn't have let anything like that happen under her watch. In all the time while the show was airing and in the 8 years since it stopped airing, absolutely nothing controversial has come out with cast (aside, again, from Chevy Chase who was always a problem on set). And you honestly think Joel McHale could get away with groping his costar purposely onscreen and not face any consequences on a set like Community? And that they would put it into a gag reel with no complaints/controversy everything from the actors if it wasn't an embarrassing (and in hindsight funny) mistake? You've got to be kidding me! None of the other cast or the writers would've allowed that behaviour and it certainly wouldn't have been put on the DVD.

@@TheTardisDreamer It was clearly SA
@TheTardisDreamer Жыл бұрын
@@alyanashephard1916 Once again, SA is intentional. This was clearly not intentional. In the scene he has to reach across and grab her shoulder/ collar bone just above her breast while not looking at her and delivering a line. Very easy in that situation for him to accidentally put his hand in the wrong place if he's distracted and doing it without thinking. Again, I'm at acting school. This kind of thing happens. I feel like I also explained pretty clearly in my comment all the evidence of why it was not SA as well. Whereas claiming it is is a unsubstantiated opinion based on assumptions about the clip. Quite frankly, what I find offensive is that you think Gillian Jacobs or any of the cast/crew/writers would willfully ignore and accept SA on set and on camera and stay silent for almost a decade after filming ended. You're treating Gillian Jacobs like a naive victim who has no agency or ability to speak up for herself. That is so untrue and condescending. If it was actually SA, she would've said something. And so would everybody else there (you really think Yvette Nicole Brown would let that happen?!). And all the rest of the cast/writers/crew would've backed her up too. But she clearly didn't view it as SA and neither did anybody else. It had no negative effect on her friendship with Joel McHale and it made it into the gag reel. I have never heard a single interview where she brought it up.
