I've always loved the harmonies on this song but I had no idea until today that the original version of this is an instrumental from "The Long Riders" soundtrack by Ry Cooder, called ... " I Always Knew That You Were The One", and was I think written by the talented David Lindley ... who I saw once upon a time playing a great set with Terry Reid.
