Sherwood Schwartz was a wonderful person who was so full of life. He cared about every person he came in contact with and never forgot them. He was a loving family man and friend. Sherwood's talent was amazing and what he did and created gave millions of people joy and memories. He will be missed, but always loved. George Vreeland Hill

Gilligan's Island has to be the most adorable, stupid, and down right illogical show ever. Is it possible to not love it?

Those two figures of Gilligan and the Skipper on the shelf behind him look exactly like the props that were used for the "Voodoo" episode of GI. Does anyone know if they are the originals or ones that were just made to look them?

I think Sherwood Schwartz touches here on the exact same reason James Gandolfini worked so well in the Sopranos. Just like Jim Hale, Gandolfini was a big lovable “Teddy Bear” who could express anger at other characters without losing his likability.
