The hairdryer is a travel hairdryer. You can still buy them. And the heat gun is to use when embossing embossing powder over ink pads. Bloomin' love this painting. 👍

If I can just explain about the hairdryer. It is a Babyliss make, pronounced babbyliss which was around probably in the 70’s here in the UK. It’s not a child’s, it was a cheap and cheerful adult hairdryer which became obsolete. You must try and find another small one before the ‘babbyliss’ well and truly stops blowing !
