I’m a certified tech, I’ve seen wrong doings and wrong tools…. Buy the correct tools and stop showing people the wrong way… your gimble seal came out probably because you used a slide hammer…

Destroyed the new bearing by beating it in by the inner race which puts pits in the the inner and outer races causing pre-mature failure then didn't torque anything properly and at the end hits the threads on the trim cylinder shaft with a hammer and wonders why the threads were damaged in the first part of the video. Also why didn't they figure out the cause of the water leak and repair that plus new u-joints from sitting in the water. Should never use a wire wheel to remove gasket material as you can damage the soft substrate and every zirc needed to be greased along the way as well. How not to service an out drive. Poor maintenance is inexcusable, just look at the condition of the boat and out drives, I'd move on to a video from more experienced competent instructors!

I knocked my gimble bearing out with a brass drift and one smack of a hammer. The last guy didn't even get it all the way installed! GEEZ. It was 10mm from the seat!

you don't need any sealer for the gimble gasket, just the O ring
