Back with more of North Yorkshire and the beautiful city of Thirsk especially the old cemetery and church, All Creatures Great and Small used to be on PBS back in the 70's I watched it occasionally and I enjoyed seeing the local shops and restaurants of course and I also like the North Yorkshire area until next time thank you.☕👋🇬🇧

The 1970s version of "All Creatures" (infinitely superior to the current version!) was filmed largely in Askrigg, in Wensleydale. Thirsk was too "modernized" to be used for the filming.

I went on holiday to Yorkshire in Spring 2023 specifically to go to the James Herriot Museum. When we went into Thirsk for the day we hadnt realised it was a bank holiday and there was a market on. It was so busy Id love to go back on a day like the one you experienced to see more of Thirsk. Thank you for this. - Frances

Quite disappointed with this one. Seemed to dwell too much on Thirsk Hall but missed completely the excellent, volunteer run Ritz cinema which has featured several times in the current All Creatures Great & Small series. Stroll down by Cod Beck would have been worthwhile too.
