I'm stunned that you're reacting to Hero Jaejoong. He's a LEGEND. He's super experimental with his music and I love him. He's probably one of the few K-Pop idols to have released a full rock album successfully.

Kim Jaejoong was an original member of the 5 member Korean group TVXQ. TVXQ is also known as Tohoshinki in Japan. At one point they held the Guiness Book Record for largest number of registered fanclub members. Collectively and individually, they would have lights turned off them when performing last at broadcast events; invitations for Awards ceremonies rescinded literally minutes before turning up; Ambassadorial positions removed; made to sit out the back instead of with guests when receiving an award; not allowed to promote any acting roles on shows. PD's confessed they would like them singing but it wasn't worth the trouble, which we have assumed to be other SM artists would be withdrawn in protest. Finally, after 10 years, at the end of 2019, the ban seems to be lifting and Jaejoong and Junsu have started appearing again on TV. @@yaoirin89 You're me! At least with bias' lol. JJ was my first kpop love... I do kinda miss the group ballads, but Jaejoong's voice always stood out to me. When he hit those high, powerful notes (especially harmonizing with Junsu) would amaze me. He is the only one from tvxq I still follow, and they were the only kpop group I was a fan of. Until BTS. And freaking Jimin never leaves me alone now. lol. I'm offically OT7, but Jimin... I admit he has a little more of my heart.

Jaejoong was part of one of the first ever kpop groups in korea as a lead singer. He is considered legend and coined as the OG "Visual King" meaning he is a standard look for kpop. His public life was farely exposed due to him being adopted, his bio father filed a custody in 2006 and only recently knew his birth mother. He debuted in 2003 and filed a lawsuit to his former agency alongside with 2 members in 2009. Talking about DBSK/TVXQ is like writing a never-ending series of books. DBSK/TVXQ is known as God of the East and is a legendary Kpop group. Also, known for the OG Red Ocean among the fandom. They are one true loyal fans, even famous people are afraid to say one mistake about the group or members back then. Kim Jaejoong is now known as J-Jun in Japan. -Ceo -Artist (not Idol) -Music producer/Composer -Stage Director -Actor -Fashion brand Moldir -Own restaurants/cafe -Own Kave Mall He nows promote in Japan since a certain ex-company is still salty. This was part of his first solo mini album "I", he's always improvising and bringing new things to his music, a very creative and talented artist. He's really famous in Asia, mostly in Japan, Korea and China. I'm so glad you guys decided to check out Jaejoong! He's one of the most talented & versatile vocalist/lyricist/composer I have ever come across in Kpop. And don't even get me started on his live vocals. He has a pretty large vocal range, & I swear this man can pull off any genres. Pop, rock, ballad, r&b, jazz, blues, you name it! Kim Jaejoong debuted with TVXQ when they were an original five man group. He and three other members departed from the group amid controversy over illegal contracts with their agency. They debuted as the three man group JYJ, however, their former agency forced restrictions on media outlets both in Korea and Japan preventing them from promoting in common mainstream fashion. That didn't stop them from finding success in other ways. JYJ became the first K-Pop group to release an all-English album in history in 2010. This has since been done by only one other group successfully, MONSTA X, who dropped their all-English album successfully in February 2019. Kim Jaejoong went on to also do solo work. "MINE" was his debut song off his first solo album "I" which was rock-themed and very successful. The song and MV allude to his past experiences with his previous agency and his feelings going forward. Kim Jaejoong has a very unique and distinct voice that can sing various genres of music. He has performed songs for many K-Drama soundtracks and experiments with his music as well. MINE definitely had a "visual kei" style that reminds me of J-Rock group, Malice Mizer (Gackt era). I love JJ! He is the singer who got me into KPOP! I love this song and MV which has to be the least KPOP MV ever!, it is more like Japanese Visual Kei rock. The lyrics and the imagery in the MV tell the story of his career as an artist with SM Ent, the no. 1 Korean entertainment company, and his fight to get out of his contract. The expressionless beauty of the mask in the MV representing how with SMENT initially JJ wasn't even allowed to talk in interviews as part of his image as the cold beauty, ha, JJ has the best sense of humour in reality!, lost and vulnerable in the snow while trying to break free, threatened by dogs and birds of prey, and finally at the end , free to express who he is as an artist and person, that bad ass angel rising in triumph!

He is saying to SM Ent, the company he was formerly contracted too, that the ocean, meaning fandom, is his, and warning SM Ent away. Jaejoong started out as part of the famous boy band DBSK/TVXQ the very boy band that makes kpop popular and famous around the world.....this was the boyband that paved the way for today's kpop.
