that's his debut solo, he's one of the rare idols who are into rock. but he's great at ballad too, you have so many in your plates if you want to check more about his discography. he was once called the king of rock and ballad 🤣 back in his golden era

The lyrics are by Jaejoong and are directed against his former company SM, which even after the conclusion of the court case, continued to hinder them /him and his JYJ colleagues/. The clip itself also symbolizes this struggle. For 12 years, Jaejoong was denied the opportunity to appear on television in Korea as a singer. As an actor he was not blocked. His songs worthy of attention are Butterfly, Just another girl, All that glitters, Run Away, Breaking dawn. Аnd from JYJ, I would recommend "In Heaven" /written by him on the occasion of the suicide of his actor friend/ and "Creation"! Vocally, JYJ are unattainable!

"This is my ocean, don't come here" is notable, because "red ocean" is/was associated with TVXQ, as their fandom colour is red, and in concerts a sea of fans would wave around red balloons. AND the term comes up in their most popular song, Mirotic. So Jaejoong declaring this is his ocean is a direct reference to his fans, and warning negative forces to leave him and his fans alone.

well this song is for SM for all horrible thing that SM doing to jaejoong. Jaejoong said Sm is toxic place. after Slave contract and other bad thing, Sm block JYJ from industry until now. one of jyj lyrics that tell us about SM in untitle song 'When he needed us, we were family, When we needed him, we were strangers.' 'Did you really plan to disappoint us right till the very end? From the calls I received, you talked behind the team member’s back. It was really hard to trust you.' 'It was exactly as what the seniors had said. Did you want to keep the people who make money for you? He said the family which we talked about in the company would make things difficult for us if we were to leave to company. Those words by that senior could not leave my head.'

Omg thank you for reacting to Jaejoong. He's my favorite singer and not enough people know about him. I recommend some of his Japanese rock too. Breaking Dawn is actually an anime opening lol and Big revolution is cool too as well as his cover of Glamorous Sky. And in terms of just cool rock songs he has I really recommend Rotten Love and 9+1

As you mentioned this song as anime ost, but actually it's not. However, Jeajung did have one rock-ish anime OP called "Breaking Dawn" which had Japanese, Korean and English? version. and one anime ED in ballad called "Ray of light" If you count TVXQ OT5 era, they also have 2 OP and 1 ED for One Piece; We are (10 anniversary ver.), Share the world, and Ashita wa kuru kara. 1 ost for Cinnamon the movie "Together" and 1 theme song for Hello Kitty "Color~melody and hamony" (Jeajung duet with Yuchun another ex TVXQ, JYJ member)

wow really great to see reaction for MINE. this song was a big dream of jaejoong how he gonna debut and this is perfect. I recommend you more and more tvxq & jyj song since jaejoong did rock but actually he is main vocal and soft voice (also do whistle). he is all rounder singer.

Jaejoong is a great artist, he has composed a lot of songs too. This lyrics are so meaningful and him singing this live at AAA after the blacklisting felt so liberating

Hi thank you so much for your reaction, I really enjoyed your commentary. I also love this song, it was so refreshing to see a kpop singer choose to make rock music considering not many have tried this before. To answer your questions: Jaejoong mostly does rock music. This whole EP and his other full albums are mostly rock as well. (but he also makes slower songs/ballads which are really good) JYJ is not together anymore so Jaejoong is doing solo music right now. He is still active as a solo singer. Currently he is preparing his 20th anniversary album. He is a critically acclaimed vocalist, most people know him for his amazing vocals and considers him as one of the best singers in South Korea. If you like rock music and if you liked this song you should definitely check out other songs from him cause I'm sure you'll love it. I'll recommend a couple of my favorites: Butterfly, Maze, Paradise, 9+1#, Just Another Girl, Run Away (honestly listen to his whole WWW and No.X albums if you like these)

I know I am late but this EP doesn’t have a lot of rock but his full album WWW has a lot of stunning rock songs I am sure you’ll enjoy. Jaejoong intire solo career is a mix between pop/ballads and rock. Being trained at a very young age by SM entertainment he was the main vocal of TVXQ for 7 years and pop songs and ballads are his bread and butter he compose, produce and write his lyrics sometimes. However rock to him is something he loves and a fan of.
